I just watched the first episode of House of Lies because I'm a K-Bell loyalist and GOOD LORD if that wasn't one of the worst half hours of television I've ever watched. You really need someone with a bit more (/any) charisma than Don Cheadle to lead a show about a man with no morals. So smug. And with these annoying gimmicks of freezing the action and 'explaining' things to camera which is just insulting to anyone's intelligence.

My K-Bell time will be better spent watching more Veronica Mars.

I've been meaning to watch that. From what I can gather it's had good critical reviews but gone down like a lead balloon with audiences. That said the first episode rated well.

How many mid-season network shows have actually succeeded? They always seem to die. 'Apartment 23' would have been a much better title but it looked like one of the better comedy pilots.

WHERE IS AWAKE.

I think you should give it a chance. Perhaps there's going to be an episode about Kristen's character or something! I'm quite a K-Bell loon myself so I'm not going to stop watching anything involving Kristen until it gets officially canceled.

'Scandal' premieres Thursday 5th April at 10/9c after 'Grey's Anatomy' with 'Private Practice' moving to Tuesdays at 10.

'Don't Trust The B**** In Apartment 23' takes the place of 'Happy Endings' from Wednesday 11th April.

ABC must think a lot of both, getting the two biggest lead-ins that the network has to offer.

Woo at The Good Wife, a 2.7 on Sunday, at least a season but possibly a two season high.

If they thought highly of them they wouldn't be getting wheeled out in April.

I wouldn't say that. You don't want ALL the big ones on straight away. Look at NBC, saving Smash & Awake. Gotta save something for when something else bombs.

Also, didn't Grey's Anatomy start out as a mid-season show? And Parks & Rec? Not that that one is a ratings smash.

Smash is being saved to be paired with The Voice, which is probably the smartest TV move in quite a while. I wouldn't think that you'd save a mid-season show for as late a April though.

Although ABC does seem to premier shows in April quite often.

I like to forget about the first season of Parks & Rec. Most networks would have cancelled it after that.

Has anyone been watching Unforgettable?

It started on Living in the UK last night and the pilot is pretty interesting thus far.

I saw that advertised a few times, when I was home for Christmas, and I thought it looked really interesting but I haven't had a chance to catch it. I'm hoping to catch it at some point as the concept seems quite good.

Having watched the rest of the pilot, it can indeed stay on series link. I thought it was really rather good. A nice change from the usual CBS procedural.

I'll give the next episode a go, but I really hated it. And Kristen seemed so muted! (The prognosis from this review isn't good either...)

I do have to agree on the constant freezing & lead character. Was good for a couple of laughs though, mainly the kid and the scene in the restaurant. Will need to improve over the next couple of episodes though because it wasn't really high enough quality to keep around when there's already too much to watch.

Watched 5 or 6 episodes so far and I LOVE it. A fresh idea for a crime drama too, which in itself surely seems IMPOSSIBLE.

Tbh, I didn't like it that much as well, I wouldn't even have given it a second chance if not for Kristen. She's like my hero.

Was 'Veronica Mars' really that good? I didn't watch it but people seem to still care about Kristen Bell for some odd reason. She's been a total dullard in everything I have seen in her. Awful.
Veronica Mars is one of my favourite shows, if not THE favourite show, of all-time. Season 1 was particularly incredible.

That won't be lasting beyond March/April then. I'm going to watch it later.
