February 3, 201213 yr Author FOX are switching things up a bit on Tuesday nights when Glee goes on a break, I think the original plan was 'New Girl' repeats at 8 followed by new 'Breaking In' at 8:30 but it'll now run as follows; 8 Raising Hope 8:30 I Hate My Teenage Daughter 9 New Girl 9:30 Breaking In Trying to help 'Breaking In' but 'Raising Hope' hasn't been doing great with the NG lead-in so I don't know how it'll do leading the night. A Fox Comedy block on Tuesday could be pretty good. Glee don't have that much left in it.
February 4, 201213 yr Person of Interest doing really well now. Seems to have stabalised around 3.2 in the demos now, looks like a 2nd season is definitely on the cards. I think CBS would be mad to move it from the timeslot its currently in, although they might want to capitalise of Big Bang Theory and expand Thursdays to a comedy night. I think PoI has really found it's ground now. The first few episodes I did like it, but I wasn't sure how they'd sustain it the show for long. But they've introduced four really good sub-plots now, and seems to have really found its feet.
February 4, 201213 yr I echo all of that, it's great to see it doing so well and building week on week. The stories have been building very nicely too, I think it was episodes 9-11 that were showed it start to change from 'crime of the week' to a compelling story arc. It's gone from enjoyable to must watch for me in that time.

I'm hoping the new sub-plot of that hacker woman is a good one. It certainly had potential. I'd guess they'll introduce her in a couple of weeks, seems very strange they never showe her face or real voice though. I'm sure it is not a character we've already met.
February 4, 201213 yr Author POI has really benefited from Bones being off air for most of it's run allowing the crime audience to actually give it a chance. It's on my to watch list, but we all know how long that is.
February 6, 201213 yr Sorry to bother, but could someone update me about the future of the following TV shows : - Pan Am : how many episodes left do we have since I think it's cancelled ? - New Girl : has it been renewed for a second season ? - 2 Broke Girls : has it been renewed for a second season ? - How I met your mother : I'm pretty sure an other season has been signed, right? Thanks ! ^_^
February 6, 201213 yr Pan Am - 2 more episodes to air New Girl - no news on season 2 yet, but it looks pretty likely to get a 2nd season. 2 Broke Girls - as above. How I Met Your Mother - renewed for 8th season
February 6, 201213 yr Even though I find 'Are You There, Chelsea?' humour a bit too much with all the continuous genitalia and sex jokes, it's rather entertaining. Diddy
February 6, 201213 yr Pan Am - 2 more episodes to air New Girl - no news on season 2 yet, but it looks pretty likely to get a 2nd season. 2 Broke Girls - as above. How I Met Your Mother - renewed for 8th season Thanks ! I shall enjoy those last moments of "Pan am" then, and I hope the two other shows will get renewed, they're all kind of brillant.
February 6, 201213 yr I've given up on 'Are You There Chelsea?' now, the sex jokes are overused. Something major needs to happen for '2 Broke Girls' & 'New Girl' not to get renewed, both have been big comedy hits for the respective networks.
February 6, 201213 yr Adjusted numbers seem to be in, 16.3 (Glee got 11.1, Undercover Boss 16.2) and 37.6 million viewers, over 10 million more than Glee and the biggest numbers since 'Grey's Anatomy' 6 years ago. Amazing news for NBC, let's see how that carries over to tonight.
February 6, 201213 yr That's amazing for them (or anybody). With any luck The Voice could pull a 7+ tonight and Smash maybe as much as a 4 (!!).
February 6, 201213 yr Is 'Smash' a comedy or drama? It had an 83% on Metacritic earlier and seems like something the Emmy's would love.
February 6, 201213 yr I think they're marketing it more as a drama. Very different from Glee which is classed as 'comedy'.
February 6, 201213 yr It's a drama but I found the pilot really quite funny in an amusing sort of way rather than jokes and punchlines. It's very 'warm' with a charismatic cast.
February 6, 201213 yr Author Wow those ratings are incredible!!! For any Network they would be outstanding, but for NBC it's almost unbelievable! I'd say Smash is a 'Musical Drama' but I found it to be rather witty and very funny in places. It's more of a subtle humour rather than in your face. It deserves to be a huge hit. It's great to see Debra Messing back on TV, and in another brilliant role.
February 6, 201213 yr It really feels like the role Debra Messing was BORN to play. Anjelica Huston too.
February 6, 201213 yr I might give it a go then! The reviews seem promising, although I don't particularly like musicals. Is it like Glee with singing in virtually every other scene for no apparent reason? :manson:
February 6, 201213 yr The pilot didn't make it look that way, the performances were built in properly such as Katherine's character auditioning. I think it also has less singing than Glee - 3 performances in the pilot if I remember right? Compared to at least 5 per episode in Glee usually. Edited February 6, 201213 yr by Jáhq
