House Season 8 will be it's final season.

The team behind the show 'decided' to end the show and announced it today along with Fox.

This is good news for any fans of Alcatraz/Terra Nova/The Finder ( as if) as this opens up an extra slot on the Fox schedule for next season.

The ratings for Alcatraz are already down the shitter aren't they? Didn't it get a 2.2 for its last episode or did I imagine that?

If Terra Nova wants to make it to the Fall schedule they need to green light now or they wont' make it. Will probably be held as filler/mid-season if they renew it any later.

Adjusted up to a 2.3 in the finals. House was only a 2.5, which is a massive fall from last year.

Is there any reason why Alcatraz dropped so dramatically, a 0.9 drop week on week seems quite high considering it had been fairly steady the past 3 weeks.

The Voice returning is the only reason I can think of for such a sharp drop. Well that and the criticism I have seen that it's dull.
House finally ends?! Well that's the best news I've heard ALL WEEK! Such a boring TV show. Russia will be outraged though as it's very popular in here.

Oh of course, forgot that shit was back. The dull tag seems pretty silly really given there's been a 'surprise' (of differing levels) each episode and its all pretty pacey.

Does anyone watch Happy Endings? Watched the first two episodes last night and even though the pilot was hilarious episode 2 was a bit shit. Does it get any better?
I've given up on Alcatraz now, my E05 stream cut out part way through and I'm not interested enough to go back to it. I'd prefer it if FOX used the 'House' slot for a brand new show as I don't know if Alcatraz or Terra Nova really deserve it at their current ratings levels (unless Alcatraz does rebound next week).
Episode 5 was the best yet, I was gripped. Maybe I just have simple tastes in such shows though.

Watching thepilot was enough for me to realise that it is a crappy show. Not 'Ringer'-crappy, but close.

Comedies more often than dramas can improve as they go on... Happy Endings has grown something of a fanbase so it's probably improved from the pilot but I don't have it in me to sit through a load of shit in case it gets good later. Cougar Town is widely regarded to have started averagely and become something great later as well.

I will never understand how anyone can like Cougar Town. I've tried a few times after the occasional promising review and even watched the trailer for the new season but it's just so dreadful. Even worse than the wretched CBS comedies.

I'm halfway through season 1 and I also think it's fucking hilarious. Barb in particular makes me HOWL with how she just appears literally from thin air to give Jules advice on getting laid. :D

Best Barb line: "The filth is strong within you!"

I actually cannot wait for season 3 to start. It's been too long.

Smash down to a 2.8 this week. Kind of worrying. It needs to settle above 2.0 but hopefully that's possible and it's still a hit by NBC's standards.
