July 22, 201113 yr New promo for Ringer, I'll put it here until someone decides to create it's own thread bwScMwUG5dI
July 22, 201113 yr The material itself looks really good but the promo seems so cheap. I wish they'd put some real money into it given that it's going to be their biggest hit in years.
July 22, 201113 yr I'm so excited to watch Ringer, it looks really good. And I miss seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar on my TV.
July 22, 201113 yr Showbuzzdaily has reviews of pretty much every pilot of the upcoming season. It's most favourable about Ringer, Smash, Scandal, Apt 23, Terra Nova, How To Be A Gentleman, The River, New Girl, Up All Night and Suburgatory.
July 22, 201113 yr I have just added Apt 23, Up All Night, Suburgatory and The River to the list of shows I will be watching. That makes a total of 16 new shows, on top of the 10 shows I already watch religiously. Oh dear.
July 22, 201113 yr "Channel 4 has acquired the UK premiere broadcast rights to five brand new Twentieth Century Fox series. They are the hotly anticipated political thriller Homeland, starring Emmy Award winner Claire Danes (Temple Grandin), Damien Lewis (Stolen, Life) Emmy Award winner Mandy Patinkin (Criminal Minds), and David Harewood (Blood Diamond) and the single camera comedies New Girl starring Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer), and Apartment 23 starring Dreama Walker (The Good Wife). Channel 4's Chief Creative Officer Jay Hunt offered, "We're delighted to continue our strong relationship with Fox. Homeland is a compelling contemporary thriller which will compliment The Killing and both New Girl and Apartment 23 will add to E4's reputation as the home of the best of US comedy" Completing the deal are two new original animated series, Allen Gregory and Napoleon Dynamite, the latter based on the feature film of the same name, and the former voiced, written and Executive Produced by Superbad star Jonah Hill. The deal, brokered by Gill Hay, Channel 4's Head of Acquisitions, and Steve Cornish, SVP and Managing Director, 20th Century Fox Television Distribution, was announced by Channel 4's Chief Creative Officer Jay Hunt. Homeland starring Claire Danes, Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin, and David Harewood will screen on Showtime in the US. The series is loosely based on Gideon Raff's Israeli television series 'Prisoners of War', and centres on an American soldier taken prisoner during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Left for dead, the soldier (Damian Lewis) miraculously returns to the U.S. after years in captivity. Danes, in her return to series television, plays Carrie Anderson, a driven CIA officer battling her own psychological demons who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to his rescue was a setup, and that this national hero may be connected to an Al-Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil. New Girl and Apartment 23 are both single-camera comedies with strong female leads. New Girl sees indie film golden-girl Zooey Deschanel take the central role of Jess Day, a quirky, adorable woman in her late 20's trying to get over her surprise breakup with her boyfriend. Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson and Hannah Simone also star. In Apartment 23, June, played by Dreama Walker (The Good Wife), is a simple country girl whose life gets turned upside down when she relocates to New York. Not only does June have to readjust to the bright lights and big city lifestyle, but she also has to contend with communal living and a rather crazy new roommate in the form of party-girl Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad), along with her snarky friend, James Van Der Beek (Dawson's Creek) who hilariously plays "himself." Napoleon Dynamite is an animated version of the smash cult film which revolves around an eccentric high school student in a small Western town, his misfit high school friends, and bizarre family life. Many of the original cast reprise their roles, including Jon Heder as Napoleon Dynamite, Efren Ramirez as Pedro, Aaron Ruell as Kip Dynamite, and Jon Gries as Uncle Rico. Completing the line up is Allen Gregory, an animated comedy voiced, written, and Executive Produced by Superbad star Jonah Hill. The animated series follows Allen Gregory De Longpre (Hill), a precocious 7 year-old being raised by his father Richard and his father's life partner Jeremy." (Via Channel 4) Interesting choices. I thought they would have gone with 'Terra Nova' and 'Alcatraz' (although they're both probably on Sky? I haven't been paying attention).
July 22, 201113 yr Homeland sounds okay but I can't watch anything with Claire Danes in so I'll be giving that a miss. New Girl (gah it should be called The New Girl!) could be a huge hit for C4. Good call. Still on the fence about the marketability of Apt 23 but I reckon it'll be my favourite new sitcom of the season.
July 22, 201113 yr New Girl :D I don't know if Sky has already picked up Terra Nova or if I'm just imagining it, but if they haven't yet, they're probably looking into it. That makes a total of 16 new shows, on top of the 10 shows I already watch religiously. Oh dear. 16? Can someone point me in the direction of good new shows, as I only have 5 new shows for fall, plus perhaps 3 at mid-season. They're on top of the nine returning shows that I'll be watching.

July 22, 201113 yr I'll personally be watching all of them, at least their pilot episodes  There's no thing like too much TV shows :D Same, although i haven't in recent years but while being at uni i have exhausted a lot of programs and a lot that i have liked have been cancelled so i have to be on the look out for new ones. Looking forward to Happy Endings returning such a great show :D

July 22, 201113 yr I don't watch anything with her in if I can help it. I absolutely cannot stand her. She almost ruined Stardust!
July 22, 201113 yr I don't watch anything with her in if I can help it. I absolutely cannot stand her. She almost ruined Stardust! Just watch Temple Grandin. You'll thank me after!
July 27, 201113 yr In very happy news ABC are retooling the Hallelujah pilot which was written by Marc Cherry and got a reasonable reception at pilot season. Hopefully this means they're serious about it and will go forward with it next year. Terry O'Quinn from Lost has signed a deal to stick with the project too. I thought it had quite big potential when I read the synopsis for it but according to reviewers who saw the pilot it was a bit DH-lite and maybe not as dark or mythical as it could've been. In other pilot news some clips from the Wonder Woman pilot have leaked. It looks fabulously AWFUL!
