Posted May 22, 201114 yr This week's commentary up on the front page and the latest news box. I've been quite gentle this week
May 22, 201114 yr Zeus, if you're around, could you look up artists with the shortest time betwen their first 2 #1s? I know John Lennon is almost certainly the shortest (his 2nd #1 came three weeks after his first) but Pitbull doing it seven weeks after his first is the next shortest I can think of. B.o.B did it eight weeks after his first and GaGa did it ten weeks after her first.
May 22, 201114 yr By the way, minor nitpick, but Adele's 8 weeks at #1 in the USA have been over 4 runs, so they're about as far removed from 'successive' as you can get :P

I didn't get home until 3.00 this afternoon (after three nights of Suede) so I wrote it in a bit of a rush. That included reading the Music Week item on Adele far too quickly
May 23, 201114 yr Author Bumping this as zeus hasn't answered my question yet. You there zeus? :( I know he wasn't around yesterday. That's why he sent me the information he would have posted if he had been here - although some of it didn't apply as Lady GaGa didn't get three songs in the top ten.
