Performance was really awful. They have awfully weak voices and no personality. But I'm glad they didn't break into some boring boyband dance routine.

I actually thought that by UK standards (and their standards particularly) it was a good performance. But for the US it was piss-poor.

Anyway, random lyric change: "you look well WITH me". WTF?

I like The Wanted's music but their performances are just awful. There's just no direction with them.

I saw them live when they supported Britney on tour and they just walk around, then jump around.. and they don't even do it with any sort of synchronicity!

Ellen's intro made them out to be the biggest boyband in the UK and then they walk out and do that!

I'm surprised that they seem to have gone down quite well. Top 60 on iTunes and quite a huge reaction in the studio after what was basically just an ok performance. VERY impressed at their debut being on Ellen too! Their management seem to do such a wonderful job of getting them the right gigs.
I've just seen the video of their performance on Ellen. They looked very amateur and didnt sound great. Not a good start to promoting themselves in America.
Didnt like the performance. Got to number 65 on iTunes but down to 74 already. Radio still playing it but cant see it selling that well. Read today that they have ditched the planned song with Rihanna as it wasnt up to scratch according to them.

ASIF they would turn down a song with Rihanna. More likely she dumped their asses.

They're blowing up on Top 40 radio :)

Only some of these sound like gay clubs :o
I dislike that they are referring to their arena tour as T.W.A.T on twitter, they have like 12 year olds follow them.

'Glad You Came' debuts at #85 in the US this week. :D

Airplay is now climbing every day steadily and it's sticking in the iTunes top 100 so it could well go on to become a hit.

Any news yet on the re-release of the album? Battleground is really dropping in the charts now.

What's the betting they're gonna copy The Saturdays now and re-release songs from this as an 'EP between albums'? (Only nowhere near as amazing as 'Headlines' was...)

They really are the East 17 of the 2010's aren't they? I like a few of their songs (mainly from their 1st album, IMO 'Battleground' was such a squib) but I don't find them very likeable in the slightest. And in my view, it's almost as if they don't want to be a boyband - they're always posing with instruments in their album artwork and stuff as if in a desperate bid to be taken seriously, but when you see them on TV and stuff they're always just stood there looking awkward and half trying to hop like a dog peeing up a tree, half trying to dance on stage.

Lawson, their support act on their tour that's coming up soon (Andy from Lawson used to be in Avenue with Max before he was in The Wanted) have got far stronger material and are probably the kind of music The Wanted wish they were doing. I wouldn't mind betting they'll take over from them this year.

I would think they're primarily targetting the Justin Bieber type of fanbase, and nothing's more alienating to an American pre-teen than knowing their favourite boyband are performing down the road at the local gay joint.

The Wanted have already announced their re-releasing Battleground and have a "smash" hit written from Example for them. I think in America they will release an Ep with the following Songs

01. Glad You Came

02. All Time Low

03. Lose My Mind

04. Warzone

05. Gold Forever

06. Lightning

07. New Hit

08. New Hit

Holy Crap Glad You Came #58 on American iTunes.

I'm not sure if a re-release will help Battleground a great deal. Although it's a really good album, as a band I don't feel they are connecting enough with the general public.

TBH I think they bring a lot of the disconnection on themselves, they're always slagging everyone else off in the papers or getting into a fight with someone at a charity football match every time I read about them, probably because their record company has nudged them into doing so as a means of selling records, so as to make them look like 'bad boys'. Considering The Wanted are supposed to be 'all about the music', they're extremely tabloid-y and a bit chav-y if we're honest as well. I think that's why people outside whatever's left of their fanbase atm aren't getting them. They are the East 17 to JLS' Take That and it shows, from the videos right down to the tours right down to the singles. JLS probably aren't considered as 'cool' compared to The Wanted but I'd easily take any one of their 3 albums over the 1 and a half decent ones The Wanted have put out thus far.
