February 6, 201213 yr 'Glad You Came' is confirmed to be covered in an upcoming episode of Glee! Could help the single even more in the US. :D They were also on air with Ryan Seacrest today, surely the best US radio promo you can get. Edited February 6, 201213 yr by Jáhq
February 7, 201213 yr I just read that too. I see it going Top 25 this week with airplay building and they're now up to 21 on itunes. Defo a Top 10 hit in the next few months I'd say. Who'd have thought it!? :o Edited February 7, 201213 yr by Johnny

February 8, 201213 yr They havent got a strong second single tho thats the problem. They may well break top 10/15 in the US but they need to have a US styled 2nd single. ATL would be the only other song that might make progress over there but that was shelved as a US release as it wasnt received well and wasnt taken by the radio. Wanted will not make it in the US until they have a strong selling and charting album. That is what artists are judged on.
February 8, 201213 yr To be fair they released a really shit remix of ATL there. As for the second single, maybe they could dust off that Rihanna duet that they thought "wasn't very good" and get Wynter Gordon/Livvi Franc/similar D-lister to do Riri's parts...
February 9, 201213 yr Don't worry everyone. If they do become successful over there , it will go to their already massively over inflated egos and they will probably end up flopping over here. Poor Natasha Beddingfield
February 9, 201213 yr Now no.12 on itunes. Pretty shocked at how fast it's climbing, and way before Glee aswell. Airplay building nicely aswell. Like someone else said though, once this goes Top 10 what happens next? Don't see any past material being right for the next single over there, so unless they have some decent material already recorded they'll end up one-hit wonders. Let's wait and see, I hope they do manage it.

I really think this would be a great idea. I can't see Rihanna actually doing it with them, but if it was dancey like Glad You Came without being a total carbon copy and had some nice radio friendly female vocals, I could see them getting another top 40 at least in the US. It would definitely have to be a newly recorded song though, because Lightning, All Time Low or indeed anything else we've heard from them so far would be an awful choice (good as they are). February 9, 201213 yr Good for The Wanted I hope they continue to do well. I think All Time Low is a better song and could do well in the US.
February 9, 201213 yr They'll blatantly record an entirely new song collaborating with a 'hip' name for the next single.
February 9, 201213 yr Wow, I love the song but never would've predicted it to have such success over in the States! :o
February 9, 201213 yr It's not success as such, they have had a good start to their attack on the american charts but personally i can see it becoming a one hit wonder unless they have a trump card up their sleeves. I do wonder whether charting in the US will affect their attitudes to the UK as it seems when UK artists think they are on the verge to break america they lose connection with the UK and then end up losing both US and Uk markets.
February 10, 201213 yr Any news on the deluxe edition of Battleground and their next single? I believe its going to be the track with Example.

"trump card" - collaboration with Flo Rida or Wiz Khalifa or Pitbull, as always :P And agree about the 2nd point - Natasha Bedingfield, Craig David, etc. to name but few. Also we could include Leona in that crowd too if it weren't for the umpteen X Factor appearances she gets in the UK that still keeps her in the public profile.
