May 30, 201114 yr I considered that one too but I see it more as a stand alone track and I think it's quite perfect as it is. I'd happily just listen to it twice on repeat instead. ^_^
May 30, 201114 yr To be honest, most of the songs I consider to be too short are fairly long in the first place, but I feel could go on for even longer, especially where there's no vocals and a lot happening. If Deerhunter's 'Nothing Ever Happened' were twice as long I don't think it would be worse, I could happilly listen to an extended 'I am the Resurrection' or 'Dance Yrslf Clean' too.
June 1, 201114 yr Nope Teenage Kicks is perfect as it is. The only song that immediately strikes me is Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths which I think is a shade under 2 minutes long. Always wanted a longer version of this. I always found myself playing Teenage Kicks again as it's a great track but always leaves me wanting a bit more!

I would have been happy with a 20 minute version of Fool's Gold at many times in my life.
June 1, 201114 yr "From Dusk Till Dawn" by Ladyhawke is just 2:36. The middle-eight could be developed for at least another 30s. Anyway this song is very catchy as it is. Edited June 1, 201114 yr by alin
June 2, 201114 yr I always found myself playing Teenage Kicks again as it's a great track but always leaves me wanting a bit more! When the late great John Peel was asked why Teenage Kicks was his favourite song he said that it was impossible to improve it by adding anything or taking anything away. Who are we to argue with him?
