I'd say Rolling In The Deep, Born This Way and (unfortunately) Moves Like Jagger are the biggest worldwide hits of the year. Party Rock Anthem and Give Me Everything making up the rest of the top 5. Someone Like You probably 6th.

 

I wonder what the actual biggest selling single of the year worldwide is? I'm guessing it's probably still Born This Way just from how enormous its first week sales were but Rolling In The Deep must be close if it's not overtaken it yet.

Because the girl doesnt seem to have a break, she shoved We Found Love down our throats when Cheers was still gaining popularity. It's overload.

California Gurls probably had really big updates because of the song (a song about how awesome a state in America is, WILL get a lot of airplay (see: Empire State of Mind) :lol:), rather than the artist.

 

And Rihanna simply isn't a big as Lady Gaga (and also, as someone else said, Cheers is still out). Her songs sell a lot, but she's not the sort of artist who's songs are highly anticipated. We Found Love didn't even get to #1 on iTunes. Yet did you see how much Born This way sold in its first day?

Thanks for these! :D I think Party Rock Anthem has been bigger than Rolling in the Deep in the majority of other countries, so it could be a bit closer (but then again, those countries don't contribute many sales compared to the US).

 

Overall though, a great top 20. I'm surprised Blow has sold that much. Super Bass has done incredibly aswell. And nice that Britney Spears and the Black Eyed Peas have had massive hits this year aswell. Also delighted for the success of Jeremih/50 Cent and Lupe Fiasco.
