It's even more mental seeing Set Fire To The Rain @ 19 already without a video or promotion when you consider how much the album's sold and this will only help it sell more. Hope there is a video and that it's got a much bigger production than most of her others.

A video will make virtually no difference to Adele's sales - they only really make a difference when an artist's physical appearance, as much or more than their singing ability, is a major selling point.

Talking about videos, the new Gaga video definitely won't get the song anywhere near the top :/

That's a poor excuse. You can make a "basic pop video" without releasing such a waste of 5:30 minutes.

I agree with Hayzayy on this one. I like simple video's sometimes, but simple AND effective. Gaga's is just simple, probably her most boring video ever unfortunately.

 

A video for Adele's SFTTR vidcapper will boost it MASSIVELY it'll be all over TV when its out, ofcourse it'll impact!

Oh her, I've seen her on the program - I didn't have a clue who she was until at the end of the show she mentioned something about the PCD...

Are you being serious?

 

Video effects are pronounced and obvious in almost all cases. There are countless examples of videos boosting songs up the chart, and given that Adele is a major artist these days, there is no way the video channels won't be lapping her video up and bumming it non-stop when it is released.

 

That should shoot SFTTR into the top 10 on iTunes, if it hasn't got there already.

The basic concept of TEOG video is dancing, celebrating and rejoicing her life in the streets of New York where Gaga grew up, and the burning house she escapes from symbolises her death, where she returns to at the end (so its not completely random). Its beautiful IMO :wub:

I agree its simplicity could work in its favour.

A lot of videos don't have 'storylines', this doesn't have an obvious one, its more of a concept that fits to the message of the song

And she's celebrating her life on the moment of death, so it would seem appropiate to be looking back at her earlier videos and dances.

In your opinion maybe. And comparing it to the videos of the top 10 songs on iTunes, in MY opinion its far more beautiful and artistic than any of them (except maybe "the A-team"). Its just not typical 'Gaga' in terms of the big budget, epic style which we have all come round to expecting.
