Tell you what, Hev's death scene might've been shit but the last 3 episodes have been AMAZING. Some of the best in years and years in fact. So many moments that were genuinely affecting from Jay and Shirley's grief to the reactions of Dot and Cora. The sight of the Mitchells watching as Hev's body was removed from the flat was pretty intense. This is the best storyline in a long while.

There's spoiler pics on DS. Shirley's outfit is quite something.

Ben won't be revealed as the killer though. Either Jay or Billy will be arrested.

I think it's a little too early for the big reveal just yet.

I proper LOVE HIM. He's an amazing mental and he's played with just the right degree of manic desperation and hopelessness.

I appreciate Ben much more now that he's a proper psycho and not just messed-up and confused. I couldn't understand whether we were meant to like him or hate him before, his behaviour was all over the place and he was horrible to people for seemingly no reason. Now I get it.

After tonight I think we can safely say that Cora has usurped Tanya, Carol and basically everybody else as the Square's ultimate alpha female. What a ROCKSTAR the woman is. I would wait hand and foot on her for the rest of my days and be glad to bask in her glow.

The omnibus has been moved to late Friday night/Saturday morning on no specific channel as the BBC are too lazy to mention that in their brief article. I don't watch it, but it's a bit stupid for those that do - who's going to stay awake to watch it then?!

EDIT:

Also, I don't know if this is news, but

---Mandy---

is leaving shortly, and was only supposed to be a placefiller until

---Ian's---

new storyline kicked off.

What's Ian's new storyline?

I can't believe I'm saying this but I am starting to LIKE Ben. He's such a wonderful psycho. I much prefer him to "nice then evil then nice then evil" Ben.

I also remain a fan of Michael Moon's work. I enjoy watching him so much.

Michael is brilliant. There's never been anyone like him. He's just a total FREAK. I knew I would love him when he had that sleepwalking storyline and started sniffing Ronnie's knickers.

What's Ian's new storyline?

It's yet to be announced :P

I love Michael and Janine together; they're definitely up there with my favourite EastEnders couples of all-time 2007-present. I can't wait to see how they both cope with the baby.

I sadly fear that by the time baby Butcher-Moon comes along Janine and Michael will be no more.

Pretty sure Janine

leaves on her six month break before the baby is born, or just after... probably has something to do with Michael kidnapping her and faking a ransom.

Big spoiler:

Bianca and Carol are (temporarily) leaving after an argument between the two, causing Carol to take the kids to the countryside with her. Bianca's departure will be on April 27 and Carol will leave in the summer. Both will be back later in 2012 though.

On tonight's episode - I don't understand how/why Billy was arrested, so if anybody knows, could you please tell me?!

I wish I was as observant as Shirley. One visit to Hev's flat and she's worked out the murder weapon, one glance at the train tickets and she's found Andrew innocent. A career in the police force surely beckons.

Derek's daughter Alice has been cast (full story on DS). Her big brother Joey is also being cast. Hopefully they go the whole hog and introduce his ex-wife too.

I think that tonight's episode was actually the best they've had in a long time! :o

I agree. I've been finding EastEnders quite boring recently, but this was definitely a great episode and really well acted by Patsy and everyone else involved.
