June 19, 201114 yr You might want to have a look at the bold bit at the start :P 21 has spent 21 straight weeks at 2 or 1. :D Edited June 19, 201114 yr by Bray
June 19, 201114 yr Suedehead2 - Do you man that ONJ is the only UK born FEMALE SOLO Artist to have a USA No.1 SINGLE for longer than Adele? (Olivia's would be 'Physical' - 10 Weeks at No.1 between 1981 & 1982). The Beatles, Bee Gees, Elton John, & Rod Stewart, have all had USA No.1 Singles, that were No.1 for longer than the 6 Weeks of 'Rolling In The Deep'. The Police also had a longer USA No.1 than that - 'Every Breath You Take' - 8 Weeks, in 1983, but one of that Trio was an American. ELO - 'All Over The World - The Very Best Of', is up from No.23 to No.10. It is only its 2nd Top 10 Position. Its 1st was to climb from No.11, (Entry Position), to No.6, EXACTLY 6 Years ago this very Week - W/E 25th June 2005! Its No.10 Position is its 29th Top 75 Week, but, it is only its 4th Top 20 Week - 3 in June/July 2005 - 11 - 6 - 16 - and now its No.10 Position. FRANKIE LAINE - With his 'Hits' Album in at No.16, he has his first UK Hit Album since W/E 29th October 1977, when 'The Very Best Of Frankie Laine' was at No.32. It had Peaked at No.7, on W/E 1st October. It is only his 3rd UK Hit Album - 'Hell Bent For Leather', was a No.7 Album for him, in 1961. (The Title is from the lyrics of his 1959 No.6 Hit - 'Rawhide').
June 19, 201114 yr Author You're right about Adele. I missed the "female solo" bit in the Music Week report.
