Anyone who thinks the new Coldplay album will outsell Viva la Vida (the album) is not thinking clearly.

Well I had no idea she was even releasing song and I like to think I'm pretty up date music wise.Ii haven't seen anything of her since Spice Girls really either...So I'm shocked that's it's even managed to get that high up.

 

Considering Encore was single of the week on 4music and had numerous appearances on Tv programmes that got into the 400's.

 

Considering it was only released today I don't think that's a bad position so far...

But it's not a single... and there won't be a video. Such a success for ONLY A FESTIVAL SINGLE, the greatest band ever!!! the new album will me so MASSIVE.

 

What do you mean it's not a single? A video was apparently filmed on 14-15 June, with a scheduled release during July. Everything I've read suggests that they're uncertain whether or not it'll lead the fifth album, but may appear on it.

 

Thrilled to see it shoot up the chart again though - it's chart run is currently (06-22-xx) in terms of top 40 - so Glastonbury and the EP release should hopefully give it a few more weeks in the top 40.

Where did you read about the video? I heard that this is a FESTIVAL single, not on the new album and just for the hype that they are coming soon with a new material...

I'm a HUGE fan... and never heard of a video or a proper release except this EP.

Coldplay were incredible last night, thrilled to see them all through the iTunes charts :)

This single is released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as its been picked up by a tv station for the womans world cup coverage.

She released it on iTunes in every country possible tho its only chart eligable in Germany , Austria and Switzerland.

New album will be out in September with the actual lead album single out late July/August

Looks like they're just releasing one for each of the headliners, Beyoncé will probably get one tomorrow.

 

Ah, Major Minus and Moving To Mars are the new songs from the ETIAW EP. I was wondering why some Coldplay songs I'd never heard of were higher than some of their classics :lol:

Over a full week, #165 would mean 1.5-1.6k normally.

I think Run The World will go top 10 after her performance, and maybe BTINH & End of Time.

 

I don't think she'll perform anything else from the new album, but expect a few Sasha Fierce songs to rise into the top 20.
