Alexandra, Kelly and Leona won't do very well? :o

Alexandra will certainly do well. If she can send a turd to #1 like SWY, she will be able to send a Rico Love-produced likely smash to #1 too.

Kelly is a bit of a loose cannon. She's not exactly consistent with her UK chart positions. Although she does seem to like the low top 10 positions. I think she'll go to #6 with 'Let Me Down' (if it is indeed the single).

I'm also sure Leona will be hugely successful and that is not me being an absolute stan (well, partially :kink:). Radio will still jump on her (even Radio 1), music channels will still play her, she'll still get promo slots and her material is looking to be phenomenal from what I've heard.

Well, I hope they do well anyway. I agree with you that the charts are a bit boring atm, and I think they could offer something different (especially Kelly and Leona).

Well Leona's music should be coming around soon since she's been doing the photoshoot for the album recently.

So did Kelly Clarkson  Two months ago - And here we are still waiting for an announcement on the first single

Yeah true. But then Kelly's album has been ready for ages now and she doesn't have the best relationship with RCA. :(

Come to think of it, Diana and Kelly were/are both with RCA and both of them apparently finished their albums but RCA delayed each of their releases. This doesn't look good for Alexandra.

Hopefully Leona's lead single will be out this August! Well I REALLY hope so!

Leona did say that when she was on Radio 1's Live Lounge, but then she didn't seem that certain. She said we'd hear new music around August. With the photoshoot happening, it can't be too long now!

50 Cent has a similar problem with his record label. He's on Interscope, and they're not on the greatest of terms. They're too busy focusing on Lady Gaga and Party Rock Anthem to help him at all at the moment. And he got into an arguement with them over Dr. Dre's headphones. And then there's the fact that his contract is supposed to end after his 4th album, but Interscope probably want to delay his album for as long as possible so his contract doesn't end and they can make him write more rap verses for Nicole Scherzinger and their other artists. :drama: He actually got angry one day and leaked one of his own songs on Twitter. So if you're lucky Kelly Clarkson might do the same. Although she probably won't, since she seems a bit more self-controlling than 50 Cent.

There's a possibility Kelly leaked the song 'Wash, Rinse, Repeat'. It's a hilarious song aimed at both her label and Ryan Tedder (after the whole 'Halo'/'Already Gone' controversy). (The lyrics are genius!)

 That is an amazing song. I hope her comeback is just as good - it probably won't be but she could become big again.

Haha. That's awesome! Ouch. Will that be on her next album? The irony is, I doubt her record label would let her put that on there! :o

I felt sorry for her about that tbh. I think most of the public would've just assumed Kelly copied Beyonce, when infact the songs were made at similar times (well, they're almost the same, so at the same time ). I watched a live performance actually, where Kelly Clarkson was singing Already Gone and then half way through she started singing Halo. And the crowd went wild. :D

Today's top 100 update:

No new entries at all today. Following its usage on EastEnders, Elbow re-enter again at #54 with One Day Like This, while Bruno Mars re-enters with his two usual weekend effect beneficiaries - Just The Way You Are at #93 and Grenade at #98. Adele, Birdy and Soft Cell each have one dropout to accommodate these three top 100 entries.

She didn't leak it lol, she never intends for her songs to leak. And if she did leak it she would've at least leaked the finished version (assuming there is one)

I think it's quite feasible that it's her who leaked it. I mean, this is the type of thing her record label will probably try to avoid putting on her album, so if she wants people to hear the song, it's probably better if she just leaks it herself (or gets someone else to do it).

Oh my that Wash Rinse and Repeat is bloody foul :puke2: Kelly's always been hit & miss, Breakaway was amazing, My Decemeber  no comment needed  I hope she comes out with better this time on the My Life Would Suck par
SFTTR  #12 :( Must be the forever spoken about 'Weekend Effect' with Ne-Yo & Alexandra not dropping out, and Nicki  to #11 again. I really want Superbass top 10, but SFTTR has to make it, maybe next week, i'll want it to climb again officially anyway whether its one place or a few :P Maybe a video come Monday to start the week off on a great start? Or is that too optimistic!

As you say, I very much doubt it will.

You have to hand it to Kelly, she is one of the few commercially successful REAL artists around today. There are many artists who wouldn't care about being given clones of recent hits. I know the song is directed at Ryan and her label but I like to pretend she also had David Guetta, RedOne etc in mind too. :kink:

I love Kelly's sense of humour. That 'Already Gone'/'Halo' mash-up must have been hilarious. I'll need to search for it on youtube!

'Real' artist? She came from American Idol...

Wow you really are a bit ignorant. :o

American Idol isn't The X Factor. AI has artists. Contestants aren't manipulated by the judges or the producers (their fate might be though) and they have no mentor to spoon-feed them. They style themselves, choose their own songs, choose their own arrangements, play their own instruments (many of them) and ultimately be artists.

Please enlighten me by explaining how being an artist is determined by your origins in the music industry?

THIS.

However you've kind of contradicted yourself dissing X Factor right above it.

If you haven't found it yet, here it is. It's good that she can do that. I think she comes off better, because a lot of artists in similar situations might take a more arguementative approach and come off even worse:

Also found this video, so I can see why she must've been so pissed off. If Halo came 2nd, it would be "Did Beyonce copy Kelly Clarkson?":

To be fair, with David Guetta, he credits himself on most of his productions, so when his songs sound similar, he usually gets the blame. Like we don't have people being all like "OMG, Nicki Minaj copied Akon!".

And Kelly Clarkson is good, but I think most artists in the chart are "real" artists, even if I don't like a lot of them.
