Most of their 21 points came from me (15 to be exact). I know the youngsters who are just starting out in life don't know this song, but it deserved a much higher place in this list. :(

More people who've "just started life" know this song than you think. For example, the song featured in Family Guy and Jedward covered it only recently. There was even a TV program a couple of years ago which was named after the song. The song hasn't just disappeared off the face of the planet!

I hope 'Unfaithful' wins!

I hope it comes 4th. I love the song, and want it to do well, but if it comes 1st, a lot of people will complain, and say it only did well because it was Rihanna. If it comes 2nd, it'll be involved in the final 2 climax thing where everybody will predict who'll win, and everybody will be like "This poll is a complete joke if Rihanna wins", and when she comes 2nd they'll all be celebrating that Unfaithful didn't win, which is something I don't want to witness. If it comes 3rd, I think some people will still complain. I think 4th position will be good, and I think with that, if anything, people will just be surprised at how "poorly" it performed. Although I could see it doing even worse than 4th tbh.

'Unfaithful' had better not win. If there's a worse song by Rihanna I've yet to hear it.

Russian Roulette?

Well, it's just opinion at the end of the day, and I think Rihanna has a few really poor songs (for me Don't Stop the Music, Te Amo and Russian Roulette are the worst out of her singles imo, I never listen to them anymore, as I find them too boring :puke:), but Unfaithful is one of my favourites. It was the song where I really started paying attention to Rihanna. SOS was huge, but in my mind it was "just a nice pop song".

30 - Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys "Empire State Of Mind" (2009) (+28)

Jay-Z's comeback single 'Run This Town' reached number one - but ESOM is much more popular despite missing a week, because of Taio Cruz who would take over the US in 2010. The song features Alicia Keys, who would later release her radio friendly version of the song and make number 4. Jay-Z's version always remains the best, but sadly it will be forgotten over ESOM(PII)BD in the UK.

29 - Kanye West feat. Jamie Foxx "Gold Digger" (2005) (+29)

The Daft Punk sampling 'Stronger' is his biggest hit, but this is not far behind. Kanye missed out number one because of the new girlband sensation... The Pussycat Dolls - which of course featured Nicole S. This was the biggest hit for Jamie Foxx, when he went solo he only made 16.

Run This Town>>>>>>>>>>>Both versions of ESOM. Similarly, Stronger>>>>Gold Digger.

I wasn't expecting either of these to be this high, though.

I agree with the whole post.

Infact, I just read that Kanye tried to convince Jay-Z not to release Run This Town as a single, because he didn't think it would be well-received by the public! :o Although, to be fair, I would've thought the same as Kanye if I knew the song before it premiered.

I expected/wanted ESOM and GD to finish higher too... but it's again a case of 'they'd have done better if I'd bothered to vote' :(

28 - Embrace "Nature's Law" (2006) (+30)

Embrace are no politicians but in this song they insist that you should follow nature's law - and that you should never fight your feelings. This song became their biggest hit, not even their football song could better this.

27 - Take That "The Flood" (2010) (+30)

Take That had the 2nd fastest selling album (first week sales) ever and a sell out tour, so why didn't they get a number one single? The first week they were beaten by Buzzjack favourite Rihanna (who still has some songs coming up on this countdown) and on the second week they were beaten by Buzzjack hate figures JLS. Take That were able to stay at number 2 for a second week thanks to their first performance of TF on The X Factor but JLS performed on the same show. In 'The Flood's chart run it stayed at number 54 for 3 consecutive weeks - not as impressive as RTW's 5 weeks at 83 but still good.

26 - Daniel Powter "Bad Day" (2005) (+32)

This song was massive - spending 13 weeks in the top ten. Daniel could never re-create the sucess however, with the follow up peaking at 70. Daniel had 3 weeks at number 2 behind James Blunt - making the top 2 a borefest, imo

25 - Outkast "Ms Jackson" (2001) (+32)

Their biggest hit only got a number 3 peak but this other big hit for Outkast spent a week at number 2. Atomic Kitten stopped them with 900k+ seller 'Whole Again'.

darn I love all of 28-26, they should've been higher, although I'm glad Nature's Law has done very well in this, forgotten classic imo :D

24 - Britney Spears "Piece Of Me" (2008) (+33)

Who wants a piece of Britney? Well, people still did back in 08' when this out-peaked the debut single of number 2 album Blackout, 'Gimme More'. I imagine the peoples of Buzzjack would have been disappointed to see Basshunter beat Britney Spears to the top that week - as it was Brit's last chance of a number one single.

Ugh. I hate The Flood. :puke:

Piece of Me is amazing. Although Basshunter was good too. That would've been a great top 2! :o

Who wants a piece of Britney?

Nick?

Just wondering which piece he would like to choose.
