25 - Outkast "Ms Jackson" (2001) (+32)

Their biggest hit only got a number 3 peak but this other big hit for Outkast spent a week at number 2. Atomic Kitten stopped them with 900k+ seller 'Whole Again'.

This may have been their highest peak but it certainly wasn't their biggest hit. 'Hey Ya!' spent two weeks longer in the top 10 than 'Ms Jackson' spent in the top 75!

^^ I did say 'Their biggest hit only got a number 3 peak' which suggests 'Hey Ya!' was their biggest hit. :P

I think Daniel was referring to 'Hey Ya!' when he said their biggest hit peaked at #3.

28 - Embrace "Nature's Law" (2006) (+30)

Embrace are no politicians but in this song they insist that you should follow nature's law - and that you should never fight your feelings. This song became their biggest hit, not even their football song could better this.

really bloody great song

In general, I never understood how anyone could like Kanye West's Stronger. There's nothing to it if you take away the Daft Punk bit. I guess the same could be said about Golddigger.

That's part of the genius of the sample though, imo.

Haha sorry! I think it's just because you started the sentence with 'their biggest hit', I obviously didn't read the rest properly!

There's no genius to the sample at all. He did his best to completely ruin H,B,F,S and came very close to succeeding. Stronger is one thing I will never forgive Kanye for. Awful song.

I love Stronger. I think it's brilliant. And I don't think it's true at all that there's nothing left to the song if the sample was taken out.

23 - Oasis "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" (2002) (+36)

The second single from number one album Heathen Chemistry was this, and it fell short of number one because the remix of Elvis track 'A Little Less Conversation' was very popular at the time. The next two singles released from HC would both make top 3 but not number one. 7 years later Leona Lewis would release a cover, reaching number 29.

22 - Wheatus "Teenage Dirtbag" (2001) (+36)

Atomic Kitten stopped this from being number one, but this still gets lots of radio airplay and is a modern classic. It recently re-entered the UK T40 when iTunes lowered the price of the song to 59p.

21 - T.I. feat. Rihanna "Live Your Life" (2008) (+37)

Eric Blob won't be happy when he wakes up and finds out T.I. has missed the top 20 on this countdown by only 2 points. (yes, number 20 has +39) The song is T.I.'s biggest hit in the UK - in America T.I. has a big hit in "Whatever You Like" but that flopped here, peaking at number 47. The follow up to LYL features Justin Timberlake 'Dead And Gone' and it reached number 4.

20 - Kylie Minogue "On A Night Like This" (+39)

This song was a bit of a flop by Kylie's standards, 2 sounds like a high peak but it only spent 1 week in the T10 and 5 weeks T40. Despite this, it's still a fan favourite and quite popular - and it starts our 21st century number twos T20

19 - Electric Six "Danger! High Voltage!" (2003) (+39)

Rock novelty act Electric Six scored their first hit with this song. They had one more big hit 'Gay Bar' which peaked at number 5 before the novelty wore off and they had 2 smaller hits 'Dance Commander' and 'Radio GaGa'

18 - Eminem feat. Rihanna "Love The Way You Lie" (2010) (+42)

The biggest seller of 2010 was the first to not have reached number one. Other 2010 hits 'When We Collide' and 'Just The Way You Are' have now overtaken this in sales but in 2011. This song proves that Eminem can rap about serious topics (like many) and not just about money and bitches. Rihanna is also a great vocalist for the chorus

17 - Girls Aloud "The Show" (2004) (+43)

Girls Aloud were unlucky to go to competition with Usher, as his new single 'Burn' was doing well off the success of 'Yeah'. TS is the second single taken off What Will The Neigbours Say?

16 - Girls Aloud "Love Machine" (2004) (+43)

They're here again  which is why they're in the same post. This time GA were even stupider as they released on the same week as massive hit 'Call On Me'. Green Day's comeback single 'American Idiot' was released on that same week, making the whole top 3 new entries.

I won't be starting again soon - so until then predict what you think has missed the top ten

Oh no! Live Your Life only #21. Although it's done much better than I thought.

Just as long as Use Somebody doesn't win.

Call On Me, Love Machine and American Idiot were all released on the same week? :o All classics in their respective genres!

Fairly pleasing results so far, glad On A Night Like This came highest for Kylie! And after doing so well in the 2003 game, I'd feared a shock top five for Electric Six!

Well, there goes my luck. Three of my favourites at #23, #22 and #21.

20-16 are alright, but seeing Love Machine fall just short of the top 15 :(

A good top 15 though.
