July 14, 201113 yr "Just had a first listen of Leona Lewis' new track, Collide. It's of the Bleeding Love ilk - a welcome return to form." "Bleeding love" was a very special song for Leona and one that propelled her pop career but few artists manage to top a song which is known as the artists signature tune. I sincerely hope that "collide" is refreshingly different but yet still manages to achieve a cracking return.
July 14, 201113 yr http://twitpic.com/5q6yy0/full September 4th seems to be the UK release date. Interesting.
July 14, 201113 yr I much prefer radio & tv play for a good month before it'll be released, build up hype and more chance for #1. :w00t: Premiering 15th July > Released 4th September (7 weeks apart) Thats far too long isnt it? Surely it'll be more end of August.. As it stands only competition will be Sugababes & Pixie Lott. Edited July 14, 201113 yr by Karma
July 14, 201113 yr I think if true the 4th september is to far away, she should at least bring it forward by 2-3 weeks.
July 14, 201113 yr Release date confirmed and Leona talks about 'Collide'. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a32...ases-album.html Edited July 14, 201113 yr by SceneofSIXCrimes
July 14, 201113 yr The dance-pop anthem, built around a staccato piano riff, was written by Autumn Rowe and produced by acclaimed hitmaker Sandy Vee. "I'm excited for people to see a different side to my music," Lewis said of 'Collide'. "I'm a fan of so many different genres and styles. For me this song has all the great ingredients of a summer anthem." :w00t: :w00t: And a new picture! She looks stunning. I'm LOVING the new retro/old school look. :o :D feature a remix by Grammy Award-winning Dutch producer and DJ Afrojack. Edited July 14, 201113 yr by Karma
July 15, 201113 yr Super excited to herar this tomorrow, can't wait!!!, (really needs to push the release date forward a couple of weeks though)
July 15, 201113 yr IBIZA'S EYE ON LEONA LEWIS LEONA Lewis has had a banging dance makeover that is making Ibiza bods desperate to book her. Yes, Leona Lewis sounds more like the queen of clubs on Collide, out on September 4. Scott Mills, 37, will give the tune its first play on his Radio 1 show this afternoon but I’ve had an early listen and can confirm it’s a surefire No 1 and a brilliant comeback. The delicate piano reminds me of N-Trance’s 90s hit Set You Free and allows Leona’s powerful voice to stomp like a pair of spiky Jimmy Choos. Leona explained: “It is a summer song that has a really good vibe. I love the energy and happiness I feel when I listen to it. “It’s reminiscent of a summer romance, meeting someone and feeling an instant chemistry. “On my previous album Echo, and also on tour, I was experimenting with more high-energy sounds, so it’s a progression from that.” Thanks to a booming bass-heavy remix from Afrojack, 23, Collide has been getting frequent spins on the White Isle. A source told me: “There’s been a lot of interest in Leona performing in Ibiza this summer, which is something she’s definitely considering.” After Kylie Minogue, 43, launched her last record in Ibiza, it sounds the perfect move for the X Factor winner to showcase her third album, which I hear is in a dreamy Portishead/Massive Attack/Kate Bush vein all with her classy pop stamp. Leona confirmed: “My new album is very eclectic. I am inspired by so many genres and styles, so naturally the album is very diverse. “Music changes at the speed of light now and new sounds are constantly evolving. “The one thing that always remains is a great song and that’s what I care about. All the rest will follow.” We can certainly expect a more grown-up Leona when the 26-year-old returns to the charts in the autumn. She admitted: “The past two years I have had a lot of situations thrown at me. It has made me realise I am much stronger than I thought I was. “I have been through a lot of changes and making this new album has been really therapeutic. “This really is my most personal album to date.” Glowsticks at the ready, folks. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/playlist/view/2...on-Leona-Lewis/
