For anyone wondering why Skrillex has all of a sudden jumped to #102 on iTunes is because Fearne Cotton played it on her music generator yesterday on Radio 1.

That was the first time I heard it and on first listen I quite liked it.

I thought something else when I first read this.

Not strictly true that, is it Adele?

 21. Down With the Trumpets - Rizzle Kicks

:drama:

 30. Up All Night - Blink-182

Another rock band being STUPID and releasing mid-week... couldn't you just wait one more day?

 88. Inhaler - Miles Kane

:D This is far better than 'Come Closer', hopefully it can outpeak it (CC got #85)

 98. I Can't Make You Love Me (Live) - ADELE

Will be interesting to see how high this gets... it's also #124 on US iTunes. Adele's iTunes Festival EP is #4 in the USA but only #8 here :o

^ I get an impression that sometimes these rock bands don't actually want to do well in the chart, which might explain the mid-week releases. Other genres seem more happy to see their artists do well in the chart, but sometimes when a rock song does well, the fans tell the artists they've "sold out", or "it's not actually a rock song, it's a pop song", and so on.
Thought I would say that The Saturdays - All Fired up is released on 4th September meaning that it's going to be pixie, sugababes, saturdays & Leona all releasing the same week. I am sure that at least two of them will move their releases.
That would be such an awesome week. Especially if they all did really well. I imagine Leona would do the best if that actually happened.

Unbelievable at Ed Sheeran, still top 3 on iTunes, I really thought after Week 1 the track would tank like hell.

Looks like the Wanted are going to hold on for a second week.

Rizzle Kicks looks like they just kicked Coldplay out of the 40 :ugh:

Is it OA/OS again, or have they learned from their mistakes? If its not, then it will outpeak Sugababes but if it is OA/OS then they will chart behind the Sugas.

They songs away to hit radio's very shortly!

If it's on air, on sale, The Saturdays will debut in the top 20, and spend like a month in the chart (unless they keep decreasing the price again ). If it's held back, I think it would debut really high, and then fall really fast, but still probably spend like a month in the chart.

Issues did really well for The Saturdays though, and that was available to download immediately.

So did 'Ego' and 'Higher'. For some reason The Saturdays management can perfectly market a post-album release, where as soon as it begins getting promoted people can buy it but manage to completely cock up an On Air, On Sale release. Why? Or is it simply a case of 'Notorious' being a much worse song and was never going to sell as well?

Higher & Ego got brilliant airplay. Notorious on the other hand had dreadful airplay! There second worst since If This Is Love.

I think they had the wrong expectations. Well The Saturdays themselves did I think, because I heard an interview after the week Notorious was released, and they were like "We're already at #9, which is really good!". Just the way they said it, it seemed like they thought they were going to climb from there. I was thinking "Oh dear...bless!"
Ooh, Ed back up to #3 :D

It's the best song of the last 3-4 months.

Agreed!

Glad to see Rizzle Kicks finally taking off - I don't agree that it's generic, it's got a great sample, I love the trumpets hook and it's very summery, feelgood and anthemic. The feel of it sort of reminds me of Roll Deep's The Avenue.

I agree with this  Was worried at how low it was - but OA/OS is doing well for Rizzle Kicks :) I'm hoping Tinie/Wiz, LMFAO and Christina Perri can all take off in the next week - all good songs.

 @ ADELE at 11 - it could easily be the next 'Super Bass', there's a massive gap :o :o

10. Pitbull 'Give Me Everything' 34%

11. ADELE 'Set Fire To The Rain' 27%
