July 17, 201114 yr It's qay better than Shame though Kath as is the video which I love ...it's a grower for sure...give it a few moew listens & see what you think ;) Unsurprisingly it is worse than Shame. Shame has some nice lyrics, much better vocals and much better music. Also Shame did have sth to say at the time it was written, when the reunion took place. Not to mention the video of Shame is WAY catchier than that. The only thing I like about this single is the video. It has a great concept but it is just TOO dull and grey. Should have added some stardust here and there. Not that it really matters; the song isn't going anywhere with or without a video. Anyway, I feel TT5 writting a song for the musketeers film is hilarious. I can't stop imagining them in the suitable uniforms with 'French' noses fencing around apologizing to each other like real gentlemen, bowing, then fencing and so on. 'No Mr Barlow, for the 100th time you are by far the best singer' 'But please amazing Mr Williams you are such a great entertainer, it is zuch a pleasure to have you back' 'Oh it is my honest pleasure Mr charming Barlow, you are most kind to say that' 'Not as kind and charming as you are when you are in your sweet rabbit pyjamas Mr Williams' THAT would be a killer video      :P

WWWY is definitely worse than Shame (in fact - apart from Love, Love - all of the songs on Progressed and some of the songs on Progress are worse than Shame!) I agree - the video is good (the ONLY thing the song has going for it and may make it chart high) ... but your idea of a video for 'the making of the making of the song for the Three Musketeers' would go down far better! Kath PS - the official site STILL won't send me a password reminder so I can't air my expert views on the song. Every single poster on there thinks the song is the most 'beautiful, breathtaking, heart-stopping, wonderful, etc, etc' song they've ever heard. Its better than anything Take That or Robbie has done! Can't they see how wrong they are? Are these people idiots? Secretly I think one of the mods over there is looking in on my posts here and is deliberately blocking me getting back and talking sense into people (or trying to). God forbid anyone should have an objective view on the Official Take That Site. Edited July 17, 201114 yr by Kathyp

July 17, 201114 yr Are you on the 'hit list' then again... I think I am. Having said that - I deliberately sabotaged my own password to begin with - as I knew I'd post there something really horrible - and I honestly don't want to offend the couple of members there who actually DO have a brain and are quite intelligent. Its all the 'everything they do is brilliant/awesome' brigade I can't stand. The ones who think all five of them leave a fragrant smell in the bathroom when they've been for a dump! Having said that I now feel the need to post something to 'make them see the light' as it were! And with regard to the Copenhagen gig - I do think they could have put on some sort of show with just the four (at the risk of the Rob fans throwing cans of pee at them!) Girly cowards! And what about those who went all that way just to see the Pet Shop Boys? Kath

July 17, 201114 yr Oohhh. I've just posted much the same in the other thread. Well I'm totally disgusted with Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard. Just because they can afford to fly somewhere, spend money on hotels, without it making a dent - they think everyone else can. I have not qualms about Rob - no way could he go on with FP (and to be honest - hoping to recover in time by Monday is asking a bit too much) but the others? And as I've said before - Denmark has always been very kind to Take That as a foursome anyway. I think outside of the UK and Ireland - Denmark has accounted a lot for their higher chart positions and previous shows have been sold out. I just get the impression that the other four took it as a 'oh that's handy - we can have a night off too'. Going off TT more and more. They've got too big for their boots. Luckily for them - their fans (or the majority of them) will put up with any old $h!t! Kath

I don't blame them to be fair. It would ruin their image much more than a cancelled show does. I think canceling was the right thing to do. ... After all Robbie had a solo part and was singing at about half of the TT5 songs... I doubt they had a playback to use over his voice but even if they had it would be ridiculous. As for the pet shop boys, they were 'pleasant' but I don't think the remaining PSB fans would ever pay to watch them as a support act so lets dump this excuse. I didn't like the fact that PSB were a support act at all. They are not big or relevant anymore (and I do not like them) but they have been huge in the past they do not deserve to be anyones support act.

Kath According to the SUN they wanted to go ahead & do it but could not due to something to do with insurance .. & even though I am not a TT fan Kath I think you are being extra harsh on the boys -_-
July 18, 201114 yr According to the SUN they wanted to go ahead & do it but could not due to something to do with insurance .. & even though I am not a TT fan Kath I think you are being extra harsh on the boys -_- I don't think I am. At the very least they're a bit cowardly. According to reports from the Friday night - as soon as Rob finished his solo set - big sections of the crowd left. They were there only for his solo set and weren't even interested in Take That as a five with him present. I think this may be why they decided to pull out. I said it jokingly at first - but the four of them may have been booed off stage had they gone on as a four. You're right I suppose - I am being a bit harsh. No-one likes to be booed off stage. Kath EDIT - scratch that comment above. I've just checked out youtube and there is no difference in crowd size at all - from start to finish. I thought it sounded a bit odd! I could understand fans from Germany or Holland walking out (no offence - with regard to manners - but I think these would be there purely for Rob) but not Denmark. July 18, 201114 yr I honestly don't think anyone should (or would) leave after Robbie's solo because a) the've paid for the whole thing b ) it was GOOD! c) it included Robbie I told you everyone was a bit focused on Robbie even when he was not singing (and he gave them the excuse I guess, he was coming up with things every now and then) but I don't think the crowd was disappointed in any way or the rest 4 saw sth they didn't expect... We all knew this would happen. But if Robbie was not at the show... well things would change! People would have fun either way but I don't know if Howard, Gary, Mark and Jason would. Noboby likes to be booed on stage, especially when they knew that might happen and did nothing to stop it. Imagine what the Sun would write the following day. Have you been to a show where the 'big name' , the one most people came for does not show up? Well I have and it was kind of nasty. They booed everyone until the last act (it was a festival) during which they started singing other songs (of the missing act of course) over the singer's voice and finally stormed out of the stadium after saying some REALLY rude things (alltogether). I have to admit I didn't know the last act was missing until it was too late, so I booed as well   Edited July 18, 201114 yr by 7heDreamer

I don't think any (well not many) people would have booed if just the four put on an act ... however - maybe Gary and the other three were worried it might happen. If that were true - it makes them out to be a bit 'cowardy custards' don't you think? I really do think they should have been brave and put some sort of show on. It isn't good when people have spent literally thousands of pounds. Its not as if its a case of travelling from Stoke to Manchester to find out the show's cancelled ... some people travelled from Sweden. I've read a few people even travelled from Britain - but to be honest - these people have seen four, five, six or even more shows already - so I've no pity for them. I only feel sorry for those who've waited ages to see this and this was their ONE chance to see TT/Rob or either! Anyway - this is all a bit off-topic isn't it? The song is rubbish isn't it? July 18, 201114 yr Even given the low sales I doubt it will get top 20, not to mention it won't sell 50k total! (given there won't be any promo, as they will be on tour perhaps it won't even enter the charts at all  ) Edited July 18, 201114 yr by 7heDreamer

July 18, 201114 yr Author Iv'e seen WWWY tonight on tv a couple of times & it defo is a grower , I am really liking it  ... Because I have to admit - when I went to the Manchester show - Rob's slot was my favourite bit of the night! Whilst he didn't exactly make Take That look boring - he did make them look a little tame! Maybe we're morphing! To you - to me - to you - to me! Kath Edited July 18, 201114 yr by Kathyp
