It's a cover of Dev's In The Dark! Why people buy music obviously from cover artists continues to amaze me...

Wow. And it's so high up aswell! :o And the original actually exists aswell. I can understand it when it's like in the UK a lot of the time where people buy the covers because the original isn't out yet.

Bye bye Bieber. :D

Rihanna back at #2, hopefully she can finally get to #1 soon. Only took it, what, 4-5 weeks?

It's strange that there's a song called Dancing in the Dark by an artist called Dancing in the Dark.

Well, Daisy Dares You did have a (wonderful) song called Daisy Dares You!

 1. We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris) - Rihanna

 2. Make Me Proud (feat. Nicki Minaj) - Drake

And Rihanna completes possibly the quickest turnover of 5 iTunes #1s ever - there have literally been 6 different #1s in 7 days (Snoop knocked Adele off on the 14th and since then LMFAO overtook as Snoop decreased, then Bieber went straight to the top, then Drake overtook as Bieber decreased, now Rihanna is at the top due to her video release) Fantastic to see Calvin Harris at #1 in the USA now even if it is a few weeks later than I expected. Hopefully WFL can be the song to knock Someone Like You off #1 (although SLY should get one or two more weeks there first).

 5. Pumped Up Kicks - Foster the People

 6. Mistletoe - Justin Bieber

:D

Kelly isn't doing brilliantly in the USA this era is she - I suppose MKIA could still be yet to peak but at the moment it looks like it'll be a bigger hit in the UK!

 2. Sexy and I Know It - LMFAO

 3. Make Me Proud (feat. Nicki Minaj) - Drake

Someone Like You should be back in the top 3 again fairly soon.

'Paradise' back in the top 10 :cheer:

-x-

Must resist temptation to make this a new post, don't want to be TRIPLE POSTING.

 3. Someone Like You - ADELE

 4. Make Me Proud (feat. Nicki Minaj) - Drake

:D

 9. Paradise - Coldplay

 10. Mistletoe - Justin Bieber

:cheer: Hopefully 'Paradise' can net Coldplay a third BBH100 top 10 (they've only had 2? :() although its airplay will need a LOT of increasing and I doubt US radio will bother really, they'll be moving onto 'Princess Of China' fairly soon. I suppose that will most likely give them a third H100 top 10 even if Paradise fails. A bit, well, a lot of a longshot but it might even be a second US #1 for Coldplay (and an 11th/12th for Rihanna depending on whether WFL gets there)?

Well, I'm going to triple post anyway, since no one else ever talks in this thread it seems :(

Coldplay top 300 update (* = from Mylo Xyloto):

10. Paradise - Coldplay

28. Princess of China - Coldplay & Rihanna *

68. Fix You - Coldplay

69. Viva la Vida - Coldplay

71. Paradise - Coldplay *

77. Charlie Brown - Coldplay *

100. Clocks - Coldplay

105. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall - Coldplay

106. Hurts Like Heaven - Coldplay *

123. The Scientist - Coldplay

141. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall - Coldplay *

151. Yellow - Coldplay

192. Don't Let It Break Your Heart - Coldplay *

230. Us Against the World - Coldplay *

254. Up in Flames - Coldplay *

Surprised to see POC actually higher on US iTunes than UK iTunes since Rihanna seems to have a bigger fanbase here! Hopefully it can go top 10. Not as surprised at the others being higher in the US though as cherrypicking always seems to have more of an effect in the USA than the UK.

On a less happy note:

18. The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On and Open Fire) [feat. Usher] - Justin Bieber

:puke: Not only is it another Bieber Xmas song, it has a spelling mistake on the iTunes feed. And it's going to knock Paradise out of the top 10. :drama:

Another Bieber Xmas song? (Goes off and listen..)

Why do you put yourself through such torture?

How high is Paradise combined now? Hopefully it can get top 10 officially next week.

As of the slightly-out-of-date-as-ever LPB it's still only #9 even when combined. It has the album version at #61 and it's up to #53 now, although it also has Bieber at #10 and he's now #8 so I'd guess they're now only #10 combined... :(

Anyhow, it'd need to get really high to make the Hot 100 top 10 as its airplay is practically nonexistent and it's barely climbing at all, I think they'll have a much better chance at a third H100 top 10 hit with 'Princess Of China'. I can't believe how few top 10 hits they've had in the USA... I know they're British and all but 'Speed Of Sound' is their only other T10 aside from the obvious huge hit Viva La Vida. They just seem a lot bigger than two US top 10 hits. Maybe it's just because of how many hits they have in the UK and it just seems bad in comparison.

Why do you put yourself through such torture?

It's because I listen to music regardless of gender/race and especially the act themselves. :P

If the song is good for me I'll listen to it B-)

Unlikely.

Its sales might be negative this week as it was a pre-order track. All those sales will be subtracted from the track total this week for anyone who pre-ordered the album through iTunes, as it's viewed as complete my album.

Happened to Britney during Femme Fatale's release week.

Excerpt from Paul Grein:

Five songs from Femme Fatale are listed on Hot Digital Songs, but "
Hold It Against Me
" isn't among them. How can that be? (The smash, which reached #1 on both the Hot 100 and Hot Digital Songs, was #66 on the digital chart last week.) It's the impact of returns due to customers' "Complete My Album" option. Enough fans took advantage of that clever gimmick that the song showed
negative sales
this week.

Damn. That's probably going to happen. Poor Paradise. I'm rooting for PoC, though. It's up to #14!

X&Y is their highest oldie in the USA as well then  I wonder why...

Basically anything with Rihannas name on it sells in the US :P

That applies to the UK more than the USA - for example look at 'Fly' flopping on its arse in the USA while it's gone top 20 here. And 'Who's That Chick?' did the same. And California King Bed.
