Surprised to see Air France in top. But female vocalists usually do great here don't they. :) Happy to see Capital cities in top 3. What a great song and it's grown on me since I sent the votes.

I think it's been good so far, it's just the votes so far don't count for as much when the 20s are still to come. I do quite like it though...

It's good that people try new ways to do this and I bet there will be some excitement tomorrow.

TBH I was really annoyed that Capital Cities was allowed to enter this. How unknown is an entry to BJSC to a lot of us regardless of chart positions the band have or have not reached?

I personally think this needs to be fixed for the next edition as this is the second time this has happened.

I think withholding the 20 points makes it more intriguing. The leader board is likely to change a lot when those points are given out.

I like the way it's done. But as i wrote before and does make it a bit hard to make the small discussions that usually are here along with the results. Can't really express the joy of my favorite song since it's hidden - I usually can when my entry is revealed but not this time. The top pointers are the ones to be discussed the most and we can't really do that this time hence the - in comparison to the other competitions - minor inactivity among the participants.

Hmmm, I do count 15 people who take part in BJSC too. Although three of them are entering UP for the first time....

I know what you mean, I'd planned to send Young Blood by The Naked & Famous to one of the BJSC contests this time last year but withdrew my confirmation at the last minute after I'd seen that it had been entered into and won Unknown Pleasures. Would have been a bit of a hollow victory for me had it done well in BJSC knowing that half of the participants would have discovered it here first.

 

That said, fair's fair and Safe & Sound was one of my favourite songs here so I duly voted for it.

I do agree in some way, as for all we know Air France could be much lower. Its good to be different sometimes though. And also it could be frustrating knowing your own track could be #1 :lol:
