If anything this one belongs to P!nk, her video is the only video that actually has a meaningful message to it, and actually makes you feel emotion when you watch itm Born This Way as a song has a good message but i dont see any message in the video at all.

The Born This Way message is in the song, not in the video as much. The 'Firework' video does have a nice message, but I don't actually love the video and I've perhaps only rank it as her 4th best video this era. 'Perfect' is a really good video with a really good message so I want P!nk to get it, but with it being a public vote I think it could go very differently - lots of people will vote for their favourite artists or songs rather than focusing on the video, won't they?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Taylor Swift win... :manson:

Lady Gaga Hosting the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards?

There has been quite the uproar within the monster community about Lady Gaga only being nominated for just 3 MTV Video Music Awards this year. Many fans have stated that it is unfair and that Gaga should certainly be in the running for Video of the Year for her first single from her latest CD, Born This Way. But Perhaps the reason for Gaga’s limited nominations has been done for another reason…she’s hosting the VMAs this year.

 

Before snubbing this slightly outlandish theory consider all of the evidence first.

 

A host for the show has yet to be announced

 

First and foremost, there has NOT been an announced host for this year’s award show. MTV is very keen on always having a show ambassador, so for them to just rely on presenters…well that would just be completely out of character for them. Generally by now MTV tells us who their presenter is, however they have been keeping this year very hush-hush, which brings us onto the next piece of evidence.

The biggest event in the international music calendar just got even bigger, with the announcement that pop superstar Lady Gaga will perform at this year’s MTV VMAs.

 

Lady Gaga joins previously announced 2011 VMA performers including Adele, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Young The Giant, with more still to be announced.

 

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will be filmed at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday August 28 and shown On Monday, August 29 at 9pm on MTV UK.

 

In addition to performing, Lady Gaga is nominated for four Moonmen at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, including Best Female Video (Born This Way), Best Art Direction (Judas), Best Choreography (Judas) and Best Video with a Message (Born This Way).

 

The 28th Annual MTV Video Music Awards will be filmed at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday 28th August and shown on Monday, August 29th at 9pm on MTV UK.

MTV have released three promotional videos on their website which apparently includes a jazz version of 'Yoü And I', but they're not avaliable in the UK. -_-

Oh, so that was the big announcement. I was hoping she'd host the VMAs as well as perform :lol:

So her performing isn't the special announcement; other than hosting, I don't know what else it could be.
