I loved the first, enjoyed the 2nd, but honestly this was a let down. It had it's moments that made me jump, but I can't help but feel that they cut out some really important stuff! (i.e. THE WHOLE TRAILER!) Where were those parts?! False advertising, much?!

Oh and the part that actually scared me was the whole "Bloody Mary" scene!

I just saw it and actually quite liked it. That bloody mary scene was one of the most frightening things I've seen in a movie theatre. I really hope this is the last one, though. It was kind of a nice wrap-up to the trilogy and I'd say it tied up the storyline pretty well.

I didn't really find that bit scary. The main bit I jumped at was when

the wife came out of the closet with the mask on

And, I was also left wondering where the bits in the trailer had gone, and their excuse is apparently not to ruin the big scares. I agree with you, pretty much just false advertising.

Is that really their excuse? The parts in the trailer looked vital to the story for this one imo. Like

the house burning down! It's used heavily in the first 'Paranormal Activity' because of that photo or whatever.

So I thought that part in particular was a bit of a random to cut out. The whole thing is confusing me. I think they missed out some vital information and I ended up being confused about most of the film!

What's the

Bloody Mary

scene? :o Does it have anything to do with the song?

I think I kinda get it now. And I now think this film is a bit better. (I still think it's missing some vital information and I'm still majorly pissed off that the bits in the trailer weren't included!) Going to watch it again soon and then watch #2 and then #1.

Was the Gran actually possessed? It makes sense the Demon wanted Kristi to go to the gran's house but at first she said no and that's when everything got worse, she eventually said yeah and the gran's house had all the symbols and all the witches.. I just want to understand everything :(

 I wish.

Katie and a friend of the father's play Bloody Mary (the game, not the song) in a bathroom, and SHIT GOES DOWN.

The Gran wasn't possessed.

Here's the text I got which turned out how I understood it better

The Grandma asked the Devil for wealth in exchange for the first born son, as she liked the wealth. Her daughters and grandchildren started being girls. As a way to stop this, the cult of witches cursed the girls after killing the boyfriend to have a male for their first born. When Kristi gave birth, it was Hunter. Crazy shit started happening. Kristi's husband husband performed an excorcism on her by touching her with a crucifix but had to transfer the demon to another relative. To do this he had to burn a picture of the relative. He chose Katie. In the first one there is a picture of Katie which is burnt in the attic hidden (put there by Kristi's husband) so eventually the cult break in, stealing the videos after understanding Toby has returned and Katie gets possessed and takes Hunter to the cult.

Hope that makes sense to you. I still think everything could have been made clearer in the film and I am guessing the part with the

house fire and stuff was all done deliberately in order to cover up how Katie and Kristi's mum and boyfriend really died.

Saw this yesterday and was left disappointed :( mainly due to the fact that pretty much the entire trailer wasn't in the film  I actually got scared when

the mum came out of the closet with the mask on

What are the odd's that the scenes that were in the trailer are gonna end up being in the DVD entitled Paranormal Activity 3: Director's Cut

I must agree, the storyline does fit in perfectly well, even though I feel the ending was a bit

short and rushed

Anyone else laughed when

Katie bumped into Toby

I actually LOL'ed at that scene obviously until

he grabs her by the hair

Overall, I'd say it was a 6/10. I wonder if they'll bother cashing in on a Paranormal Activity 4 for next year.

Am I right in thinking that Katie's the kid who's friends with 'Toby'? Cos I watched the trailer and it seemed to suggest that Christie was the one who was in contact with the 'demon' but then I saw the film and could swear it was Katie? That said I have a fair old flu so I might've been confused ;p.

That said, I thought it was a really good film! More funny than scary but it's made me want to watch the first 2.

Kristi is the one who can see Toby. Katie is the older one

(The one who ran into Toby and got pulled by her hair! and did the "Bloody Mary" thing with that guy)

 So confusing - don't know how I managed to get them mixed up for the whole film

A 4th has been confirmed according to DigitalSpy.

I'm on my phone right now curled up into a ball watching this omg the part with the sheet lookin like one of those halloween ghosts I can't handle it. I'm having to pause it every 2 seconds just to breath and take it in. Not to mention I'm home alone and too afraid to go turn any of the lights on WHAT A BAD IDEA THIS WAS

A

Oh man I agree with people about that bloody mary scene! This is easily the scariest of the three for me. The first one was okay but the second one was awful. They always ruin it for me though when one of the people turns to the camera with some demon face.

oh i totally forgot about this! i was expecting it to be terrible but i did kinda love the other two so will watch it at some point. definitely not one for when you're home alone though...
