I'm watching episode five now and just finding the will to get through it so difficult... I might give up. SMG is not giving the performance this role needs. She's too blank and nondescript. The writing doesn't help either, I probably couldn't list a single character trait of Bridget's if you asked me and it's ridiculous that nobody suspects that she's not really Siobhan given that she's actually 'nice' whereas by all accounts Siobhan was a really bitch. Ropey storytelling, cheap looking sets, bad acting (Gemma really takes the piss)... I think it's time I gave up.

Agreed. Twenty seconds of relative excitement doesn't excuse anything else. It's annoyingly plodding and I've always found SMG overrated.

I'm at UK pace and I'm kinda getting a bit bored. It's going nowhere really that fast. Not surprised CBS passed on it.

AT WHAT POINT?

I watched E09 yesterday and was gonna ask if anyone was still watching. I think it highlights part of the problem with the show, they had a really good last five minutes that set it up well for the midseason finale this week, where they could've taken it down one of three ways, but the promo & press release for the midseason finale don't give me much hope.

So E09,

we saw that Charlie was keeping Gemma alive tied up in his basement, and the episode ended with Malcolm in his house close to getting into the basement and finding her. Bridget had been distracting Charlie at some café, but then he left, and called Siobhan to say that Bridget is onto them

. From that they could have had a)

Malcolm finding Gemma and them both managing to get out

, b)

Malcolm not finding Gemma but getting caught by Charlie

or c)

Malcolm finding Gemma, but then getting caught by Charlie

. Are they gonna do any of that? Doubtful. Fingers crossed they managed to come up with an alright midseason finale anyway.

I actually gave up a couple of weeks ago, I just couldn't get into it. I'll be surprised if the series gets picked up for a second series.

I'm extremely late, I've started watching this last week and I must admit I'm actually hooked onto this.

Looking forward to ep.15 :D

There is no way on earth this gets a second season. It's ratings are abysmal for the CW and that takes some doing.
I must be one of few that actually really really enjoy this show then.
This is pretty much done now, 0.4 in the ratings last night (well, if they will insist on airing it after a repeat) and there won't be anymore breaks until the [series] finale so it's finished on 17th April before the May sweeps even begin (barring One Tree Hill, the other CW shows all finale in the middle of May as normal).

I'm still watching it because of SMG. I'd like her to get another big series. Sadly this isn't it.

I hope it gets a decent ending if it's to be canned. She deserves that.
