July 24, 201114 yr So it seems "Back to black" is set to become Amy Winehouse's leading tribute song in the charts, like MJ's "Man in the mirror".
July 25, 201114 yr Who could still be left to buy Chasing Cars? It's sold less than Party Rock Anthem for example so quite many people Chili's new track is underperforming but was a midweek release (how dumb) and now falling.. The usual story for a rock single :( Means nothing for the album era though.. MW has still the wrong information about Caro Emerald's album. It has spent 11 weeks in as it briefly entered the chart at No. 74 last Autumn. Lady Gaga is doing very well: BTW still No. 5 and The Fame has spent many weeks in top 20 even after the hype around BTW has gone. Edited July 25, 201114 yr by SKOB
July 25, 201114 yr Author MW has still the wrong information about Caro Emerald's album. It has spent 11 weeks in as it briefly entered the chart at No. 74 last Autumn. MW are never going to fix that. I'll fix it myself when I update the top 100 (whichh I'll do now)
July 25, 201114 yr Is there a specific reason why Aloe Blacc climbed back up from 21 to 13? And also Chris Brown from 33 to 23?
July 25, 201114 yr Author Is there a specific reason why Aloe Blacc climbed back up from 21 to 13? And also Chris Brown from 33 to 23? Yes, because they were reduced to 59p on iTunes. This is also why Chasing Cars is back at #57, I Need A Doctor is back at #72, With Or Without You is back at #78 and Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) is back at #86. Edited July 25, 201114 yr by Bré
July 25, 201114 yr What's the reason why Bring Me to Life of all songs have been around the last few weeks?
July 25, 201114 yr Author What's the reason why Bring Me to Life of all songs have been around the last few weeks? That's also 59p :P That's generally the default reason any old song is in the chart again (unless it's on an ad or used on BGT/XF) Also, I was mistaken when I said Firework was on 4 consecutive weeks at #71  There was an error in my spreadsheet, it is indeed on 3 weeks at #71. So The A Team, Price Tag, Firework, Just The Way You Are and Only Girl (In The World) have all held their positions for three straight weeks :o How bizarre Edited July 25, 201114 yr by Bré

July 26, 201114 yr That's also 59p :P That's generally the default reason any old song is in the chart again (unless it's on an ad or used on BGT/XF) It was also used on Britain's Got Talent, which is what got it there in the first place. I've noticed it seems quite a few of the songs that get made 59p were ones that were used just before on TV somewhere. Perhaps the people that decide which songs take that into account.

I've noticed it seems quite a few of the songs that get made 59p were ones that were used just before on TV somewhere. Perhaps the people that decide which songs take that into account. That was a while ago though - it dropped out and re-entered since then due to its reduction. Considering all of them apart from the A team are all high selling singles, and are "classics" too. I'm sure The A Team will become a pretty high seller. :P Edited July 26, 201114 yr by Bré
