It was just me and you posting in there as it hardly gets posted in so it was good to see but I see your point.

With a new album coming up, I guess we couldn't use the Singles Charts/Sales thread forever :P This thread will be quite for a while after LAP is has a full price again, but that shouldn't matter. :)

On iTunes? I'm not sure when iTunes started, but it must be near 2004 (when the download chart started). I'll have a look back on old iTunes threads and see how high some of Madonna's songs got, and see how consistent they were, and then post back here :D I think that Hung Up and 4 Minutes will both be her most popular songs on iTunes :P

No Liam when you go onto Madonna's page on Itunes it lists her top 10 most popular songs based on current downloads!

 

 

Current top 10 - 3.8.11

I find a couple of things interesting from the above list, firstly it is strange that holiday, LAV, Frozen and Material Girls sales are not coming from the 'Celebration' album like the rest of the tracks.

 

I am suprised that Material Girl is doing so well this track is not usually in this list i dont think and is not one of Madonna's biggest sellars. I wonder if the fashion campaign has helped improve sales?

 

Very suprised that 'Into The Groove' doesnt feature in the top 10 , this is Madonna's biggest sellar and one day i hope it can reach the million mark but to be honest its not close at all to achieving this!!

With exception of Like a Prayer, I don't think any of those songs released before 2000 have even entered the Top 200 in the 21st century! And even if they have, it wouldn't have been in the chart for long! It just goes to show how well Madonna can sell without being noticed in the Top 200!

We hope so! I'm watching the Virgin Tour right now I'm wishing some of the 80's tracks would go down to 59p.

I'd love American Life back in the charts (not much chance I know!!) Or even Get Together or Jump.

I would like one of her least selling hits to get reduced (like mentioned: Get Together, Jump, a single from American Life (album)) or Into the Groove (so it can get over 900k and get closer to 1m!)
