I agree, a great song very under rated.

Cheris seems to be shadowed by Like a Prayer and Express Yourself, but I think it's such a great, summer-y tune!

It's far better than LAP and EY.

Cherish is one of my favourite from her still! But I've got it already and I'm not in the UK anyway, so ... :lol:

I think Like a Prayer and Express Yourself are better songs, but Cherish isn't that far behind. :D

Oh Father is my favourite! I don't see why it wasn't released in the Like a Prayer era in the UK

Warner wanted Dear Jessie for europe then I'm sure Madonna wouldn't have been impressed.

I'm sure in 1989 Oh Father would have made the top 10 easily.

I agree, if it was released between Cherish and Dear Jessie like everywhere else, since Cherish made #3 and Dear Jessie #5. I think Oh Father got lost in the Christmas/New Year rush, as new releases hardly ever seem to be a hit in that time, plus Oh Father was released 7 years after it appeared on LAP, which probably didn't help!
