granted the prom isn't actually as bad as it once was :P it does look quite decent now, particularly around south pier and the pleasure beach. it's just really the suburban areas that make it seem like more of a dive. I suppose people feel the same way about where they live though. :P

haha it's alright. :P it's not the first time I've been the last poster in a thread (see pokemon gaming thread in the games forum).

I do, born and lived here all my life. I suppose if I was born somewhere else and came here to visit it'd be fun but it's not really fun living here. the town centre and south shore are nice, but when you head away from the town centre you near into the dull areas and council estates which are crawling with chavs. particularly during the night time; I live near a kfc and the only thing separating me from it is the council estate. :(

I've just gotten back from work, pretty exhausted but was worth it - during my break I got a £1 scratchcard and won a £5 which was nice. :D going to leeds tomorrow in celebration of my birthday, planning' on burning away at my bank account as it were. :P

My dad used to work at Blackpool some years ago.

When I first started going to blackpool, I loved it, used to say I'd love to live there  We have a friend who has a house outside the centre, and used to stay there, it was in an estate, terraced houses, it was too bad, but I really dont want to live there anymore! I think everywhere has its bad places, the town that I live in now is a really nice little town, but the area that I live in is HORRIBLE. We are hoping to move this year to a nicer part of town :)

Oh, and I got engaged on the north pier on my 21st birthday :heehee:

I see what you mean there. :P I don't live in the worst part of town but it's not situated in the best area. it's just outside one of the three council estates in town. I don't pass through it much, but I can always smell weed every time I do. says quite a lot really. I'm considering moving out when I go to uni in a couple of years. :P

ooh nice! I quite like the piers actually. central and south are probably better though, mainly central as there's more to do there.

I work in the whsmith in poulton-le-fylde, a village just outside of blackpool a bit. I work on the tills so it's pretty same old, and it goes really slow when quiet. :( ah well I work with my best friend so it's all good. :D
