Never said Syco had a great track record and they didn't help, but Joe didn't know who he was as an artist and he still doesn't. He made a record that he liked and the public didn't agree with him. He didn't even cowrite ONE song! And it's up to the artist to put their foot down and tell the record company they don't want to start off with a cover. You talk like Joe is a puppet with no say.

Katie Price makes more money than Colin Firth. Jersey Shore is more successful than Mad Men, and Modern Family. Doesn't mean they are respected in the industry. They are laughed at.

 

Olly can make all the money he wants and Syco can be crap to Joe, but they can never take away his genuine real talent. Joe proved he is a major talent, while Olly showed that if you throw a lot of money at anyone, you can easily fool people. When Simon says bark, Olly asks how loud.

 

By the way, I actually never have anything against Olly in the beginning, but when he pulls shit like this (and this is not the first time), he really shows his true color of how fame hungry he is, and disgusting of a person he really is.

Oly is respected in the pop industry... He works with top songwriters, he's mates with some of the 'cooler' pop stars like Professor Green and Eliza Doolittle. And it makes me laugh how you imply that Olly is a puppet, when he has more say in his output than Joe has ever had or will ever have. Why is that not an issue for you with Joe? You clearly look for excuses to dislike Olly, I'm glad I don't do that with Joe, I maintain that McElderry is a nice lad.

 

Anyway, I'm gonna listen to Joe's Classic Christmas and Classic records and see what I think! Might make a good present for my grandma.

No he is not. It's the truth. People know he is Simon's dog, and if it wasn't obvious of him getting the Xtra Factor host. Think about it, when he there are millions of other host.

 

As for songwriters, Joe had some as well, but Syco decided not to use it. Again, the label's decision.

 

Again, you don't know how record label works. He isn't with Syco. Please explain: Leona or Shayne, to name a few. They have no say at all and released what Simon wants, even thought he dropped Shayne in particular and he didn't even pick that cover release.

 

I am not looking for excuse. It is what it is. Go do some research. He said those things; he did those things; and there is a reason why Syco has the worst track record of artists.
