I think the performance on Let's Dance was poor (especially after how many rave reviews she gets as a live act), and she was giving off the completely wrong message with that choice of song because Comic Relief IS about the money...

I swear if I hear one more person complain about the message of 'Price Tag' I will cut a bitch.

I know! And Theo, you really do baffle me sometimes! You don't like her (even though you downloaded the album even after claiming you disliked the singles so much), but why feel the need to give a little snide/bitchy comment every time? After the first couple of times, it gets boring to read.
I love the message in price tag Why are some complaining?
They're moaning about the irony of the song and stuff.

"We don't need your money, money, money" when you have to BUY the song etc... very boring when you've heard it once or twice.

I personally find the 'when music made us all unite' line a lot more tedious myself. When was this period in time exactly Jessie?

Or maybe I'm just taking her lyrics a bit too seriously than what I probably should.

105,859 first week sales. Really brilliant. :)

I personally think that the message is more "It's not about the money, it's about us all being together and having fun, but obviously it is still going to cost money".

And Theo needs to stop pretending that he dislikes Jessie. He watches every video about her, downloads her album etc...

That's what I see the message as, so it's annoying when people quoute the lyric in the 'her songs should be free then' kind of sense.

As for Theo saying she was giving off the wrong message, people who were planning to donate money aren't exactly going to change their minds just because they've heard Jessie singing 'Price Tag' on the show.

After listening to some songs on Youtube and a couple previews on iTunes, the album sounds dreadful. The hype baffles me.

They would be silly not to release Who You Are next, Abracadabra over the summer and then a re-release for Christmas/X Factor.

I honestly don't get someone who has that much talent & has such a down to earth personality can get so much hate :(

She is incredibly talented, definitely. I'm not disputing that. Her music is just dated mor-pop that probably wouldn't have made it as filler on a Natasha Bedingfield album seven years ago.

I agree, it baffles me slightly. I like that she isn't doing electro-pop like GaGa, Rihanna, everyone seems to be doing lately. She's got her own sound and that makes her sound out, and is probably why her and Adele are currently taking over the UK music scene.

And she definetly has one of the best personalities in pop imo.

People who are hyped generally get a lot of hate. Everyone likes to share their opinion on them and go against the hype. Jessie knows she has haters though and isn't bothered. :)

Well said. EVERYONE in the world will have haters, there is not one person in the universe who is loved by every individual. No matter their characteristics, or talent, there will be haters, just life i guess.

Great sales, not enough to push legendary Adele off #1 though, the album will sell very well all year though I predict, and its off to a good start.

Glad 'Who You Are' made top 40 today. :w00t:

Definitely agree. Although at first I thought it was about going out and enjoying yourself, not caring about the price of things or whaever. But then I realised that's just probably me who thinks that

Definitely. It's the only reason I can see as to why, like you said both her and Adele have dominated the Top 2 singles positions for the past 3 weeks (looking likely to be 4 soon!), holding 2 entries a piece inside the YTD Top 5 and I believe a similar thing will happen in the albums chart. Elbow will have to settle for number 3 this week, imo.
 I do like her, but I'm listening to the album now and the over singing is giving me a headache
Oh I do agree to an extent - sometimes it isn't needed. I hate when she does it in 'Big White Room' the most, which could be 10x better if she didn't oversing it so much :(.
