August 21, 201113 yr Thanks for including my research :P Additional (recycled) fact about this week/last week, this is the first time two 'Sound of...' acts have had back-to-back #1s within the year of which they're meant to be the 'Sound'. It's happened a few times with acts from different years and even once with two acts of the same year - although that one (Scissor Sisters/Razorlight) took place in 2006 after both acts were on the 2004 list. I was bound to miss one eventually. I did mention Heaven later though in the bit about DJ Sammy :D Still missed the chart position though :ph34r: I was concentrating too much on minimising the changes I'd need to make if the numbers two and three finished the other way round.

No-one is saying that 21 has spent more consecutive Weeks in the Top 2, than any other Album. What her Album has achieved, is to be the only/first Album to spend as long as its 1st 30 Chart Weeks in the Top 2. The South Pacific Soundtrack Album managed an incredible 119 consecutive Top 2 Weeks, from November 1958 to February 1961. 107 of them at No.1, & 12 at No.2. (70 of them were consecutive No.1 Weeks - including being No.1 for all of 1959). But, it took 28 Chart Weeks to start that 119 Weeks Top 2 Run. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ 6) I also checked which Album entered at No.1, & then remained there the longest - in its 1st Chart Weeks. It then spent 2 Weeks at No.1 - giving it 21 Top 2 Weeks, with its initial Chart Weeks. August 21, 201113 yr Author Thanks for the extra info. I somehow think even the mighty Adele won't be beating the Sound Of Music record :lol: The distinction between any run and a run at the start of an album's chart life is one the papers regularly got wrong as Adele clocked up the weeks at number one. Let's hope they don't do the same again.
