August 24, 201113 yr Adele back in the top 3 (and the top 2 :P) :D Nice sales increase as well, maybe it could still get more weeks at #1 with SLY only just starting to do well :o Significant new releases for next week's chart, based on iTunes, come from Pistol Annies (who or what?), The Game and Barbra Streisand (not top 10 on iTunes but she's not exactly a digital artist, plus she had a US #1 album last year I think). Other new releases in the iTunes top 40 from The Cab (who or what?), PRO (who or what?), 30 Seconds To Mars, Trevor Hall (who or what?), Sunny Sweeney (who or what?), Black Tide (who or what?), Icon For Hire (who or what?), Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks (who or what?) and Jack And White (who or what?) I'll assume without Googling that most of those are country blandies or heavy metal bands. Edited August 24, 201113 yr by Bré
Pistol Annies won't get number 1, they're a country girlband, a side project of Miranda Lambert (you must have heard of her, she's one of the biggest female country singers in the US atm) and Miranda's debut 'Kerosene' peaked at 16 (with the biggest hit peaking at 61 in the US), her 2nd album 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' (with the biggest hit peaking at 52) and her last album 'Revolution' peaked at 8 (with the biggest hit peaking at 28, but also had another top 40). All her albums have passed 1 million, but she's always a slow steady seller. I'm not sure where Hell On Heels peaked on the Hot 100, but Miranda's profile was definitely raised last era so it should be a top 10, maybe top 5. I'm gonna give it a listen, I love Hell On Heels and Miranda is one of my favourite singers  Sunny Sweeney is also a female country singer. No idea for the others, they sound like rock bands though.
