August 28, 201113 yr I think I'm right in saying that Will Young is the only UK Talent Show Winner, to have as many as 3 No.1 Albums? Leona Lewis has has had 3, but, technically, the 2nd was the same Album as the first. In 2007 she was No.1 with Spirit, & in 2008, it was with Spirit Deluxe. Oddly, her '3rd' No.1 Album was Echo, (2009), & Will Young's 3rd is Echoes. Last Week, When We Were Young, by Take That was at No.88. This Week, it is no longer in the Top 100. It is their 28th UK Single. Unless it reaches at least No.81, it will become their smallest Hit Single, ever in the UK. Their very first Single - Do What You Like - was a No.82 Hit, in 1991. (In 2009, The Garden only got to No.97, but, it was an Album Track, in the UK, & not an actual Single). Had 21, by Adele, managed a 31st Top 2 Week, she'd have equalled the Solo Artist Top 2 Weeks, in a row, Run of G.I. Blues, by Elvis Presley. His Album was in the Top 2 for 31 consecutive Weeks, from W/E 17th December 1960 to W/E 15th July 1961. (22 at No.1, & 9 at No.2). However, his Album entered at No.4, (W/E 10th December 1960), so his 31 Top 2 Weeks were not its 31 first Chart Weeks, but its Weeks 2 to 32.
August 28, 201113 yr Author Thanks as ever for that extra info. With my comment about Pink Floyd's Echoes album I should have picked up on the Leona link.
August 28, 201113 yr I can find no Winners of either Opportunity Knocks, or New Faces, who had more than 1 UK No.1 Album - Neil Reid, Peters & Lee, & Showaddywaddy. Max Boyce was unsuccessful on Opportunity Knocks, but he had 1 No.1 Album, too. ABBA Won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, & Celine Dion Won the 1988 Contest. They've had 9 & 5 UK No.1 Albums, respectively. However, the Contest looks for a Song - not the Act who Sing it. Technically, the ESC is a Song Contest - rather than a Talent Contest. (It is not a UK Contest, anyhow - but Pan European).

September 2, 201113 yr Last Week, When We Were Young, by Take That was at No.88. It was #88 ten weeks ago (on the week of the release of Progressed), not last week. Also, 'Hold Up A Light' missed the top 100 - is that not counted as a single either?
September 2, 201113 yr Bre - Sorry, I got it wrong when I said that it was 'last Week', that 'When We Were Young' Peaked at No.88. 'Hold Up A Light' does count as a Take That Single. It was released as one, in December 2009. But, only as a Download, in the UK. It Peaked at No.123 - probably because so many people already had it on 'The Circus' Album. So, if 'When We Were Young' gets no higher than No.88, it will be their 2nd smallest UK Hit Single, not their 1st. And, it is their 29th UK Single - not their 28th.
