The indie forum is actually quite popular, with a certain crowd. And I also come in here a surprsing amount.

Definitely not planning on going next year, having a YEAR OFF (/decade) before my next festival. I think I'd rather go to individual gigs to be honest now.

Thought I might as well keep this topic rather than open a new one. Lineup for the main stage announced, here's the Leeds one:

 

 

Dat Friday lineup.

Think it's poor really, but the same can be said for most of the big festivals. You go one year, then three festivals later a band that you say then will be headlining one of the stages. That said I would like to see Justice, The Cure, You Me At Six and Foo Fighters.

 

You sell your festival on the headliners: The Cure, Kasabian and Foo Fighters are a good set.

I'm geeking out over The Cure and At The Drive-In but otherwise it's quite a weak line up, but it's not worse than any other festival this year, 2012 appears to be the year of shit festivals which shouldn't be the case when theres no Glasto other festivals should be shining. I spend most my time in lock Up anyway so I'll await that announcement until I say the line up is crap. At The Drive-In is worth my ticket though.

got to say the lineup does nothing for me on the whole. I think Kasabian are far ovverated

Im going, looking forward to it. I usually do the smaller festivals, so this will be nice. And I finally get to see florence, the maccabees, justice and the vaccines!

I've already seen Florence, Paramore and Cancer Bats live (i hated cancer bats though!) so the only one i wanted to see was Enter Shikari. Gutted :(

Oh God Im not going to see paramore. I used to bum them around the time of 'misery business' and 'crushcrushcrush' but looking back it really is music for 14 year olds. Might go and watch them for a laugh though ha.
