Robbie Williams choosing songs for new album

THE clock is ticking on a megabucks new solo deal for Robbie Williams.

Right-hand man Chris Briggs has jetted to LA to help him sift through a stack of songs he's recorded and agree a shortlist for his next album.

But only Sony, who Rob has met five times recently, and Universal, who release Take That's music, could afford him now his huge £80million four-album deal with EMI is up.

A&R legend Briggs first paired Rob with hitmaker Guy Chambers and they went on to create his mega-hit Angels. Rob's since shifted 57million albums and trusts Briggs' opinion above anyone else in the business.

A source said: "Rob has been really productive so there's lots for him and Chris to go through. Rob will take on board any guidance Chris gives."

Rob blogged: "We've an embarrassment of riches for singles... happy days."

Just don't mention Rudebox.

Well I think he should send me his new songs and I'll pick what should go on the new album. I'm his target audience after all. Not Mr Briggs -_-

Was it Mr Briggs then that picked that awful Shame & YKM as singles :puke2: ... I am afraid I am not that excited about it ... we rarely hear Robbie played on the radio these days so I doubt it matters anymore

Is there no ending to our torment?

I was always wondering, are these books successful saleswise? I think Robbie has quite a few 'books' written about him...

EDIT:

A custmers review on the book:

''I was given this book recently as a gift and I am thoroughly enjoying reading it. As more of a fan of Gary than Robbie, it is fascinating to read what exactly was behind their years of feuding and I'm looking forward to reading why Robbie really rejoined Take That. This book is must read for any Gary/Take That or Robbie fan. Infact I have just ordered two copies as gifts for friends. "

I hope he is not MY friend! I would hate to open a xmas present and see this :drama:

I think a Paul Scott book about Robbie was given away free in a national newspaper many years ago so I'm guessing not always successful sale wise

Didn't you send me one for my birthday last year? Hope that wasn't a freebie!!! :o

Oh no. Wait. That was a Sean Smith Robbie book. Anyway, it was quite good. :cheer:

Have I ever read a Paul Scott Robbie book? I dunno.

 I wouldn't send you a free book

I've got 2 Paul Scott books, both the same, I have no idea why, perhaps I brought 2 newspapers at the time

I don't remember if I read them

I've just found them in the bookcase, bit strange, they are both by Paul Scott, one is called Angels & Demons and the

other one is called Facing the Ghosts.

Both books have different front cover pictures but exactly the same writing inside and amount of pages

Probably he renamed it to trick elderly people into buying the same book twice. Scandalous. :(
