It's a step in the right direction, I was hoping for the first properly good video since 'Telephone' and this isn't it. It had some good bits, I liked the first 7 minutes or so, but the rehearsal scene (as someone else pointed out) is SO lame, and she's still trying too hard.

Agreed. I doubt she'll be admitting that she can't do everything anytime soon though, it just needed a real director to tighten it all up. I actually like the prelude and I'd much rather watch a video like that than some generic in da club crap.

 

Loved the prelude. Just felt really messy once the song actually started and it pains me that if it was directed properly it probably would have been amazing. Oh Gaga.

Well I loved every second of it!!! Even the rehearsal scenes that I didn't like at first, but when they are fitted into the video, they work imo. I think it's her best video to date!!!!! :wub: :wub: :wub:

There is a good video in there and I imagine the version that will be used on TV will cut it down to a decent length that I could possibly ENJOY.

Some of it was really well done, LOVED the prelude - the scenes with the car and some towards the end. The rehersal scene just let it down and the ballet bits weren't really needed. Like Cremey said, don't get it AT ALL but it looked nice?!

The good part of the video steps in at the last 2 minutes of the video...

Exactly! They're the three properly good videos of hers (well, especially 'Paparazzi' and 'Bad Romance'). I long for the day when we get something that good, but I'm starting to think we never will now.

No more 'Telephone' or 'Paparazzi'-esque videos please. 'Alejandro', 'Born This Way', 'You And I', 'Bad Romance', 'Judas' and 'MTN' are all better than both of them.

Quite. 'Alejandro' was her worst video easily before 'The Edge Of Glory', 'Born This Way's video is also terrible.

I just want the gloss and professionalism from her early videos mixed with her newer, developed and more interesting ideas. Her recent videos definitely have an amateur feel to them (with regards to directing, camera work and cinematography). I suppose she can only get better.
