You might have seen already but The Hump is #41 in radio airplay and according to CompareMyRadio it's mostly from an independent station in Manchester :o BBC don't appear to have played it once :(

It got one play on Radio 2 when it premiered, but that was probably all

Yeah, it doesn't sound much like a hit single, I'd like it to go top 40 though - maybe after the contest but I won't hold my breath.

Why not, if Adele can... Engel for #1 I say :kink:

Disappointed at the lack of dance remixes. And Lesbian Seagull :nocheer:

I've always thought 'Hold My Breath' by Ellie Goulding would be a PERFECT eurovision song. I know this is completely irrelevant but that just reminded me.

Love Will Set You Free has gone straight onto the Radio 2 a-list :D

That's good! :cheer:

It's also #1 on Amazon's CD single chart despite not being released for another month! I know it doesn't mean much anymore, but it's still good going - ahead of the Girl Gone Wild single from Madonna! :D

Out May 12th;

He won't have a hit single but the album could very realistically go top ten for a few weeks.

Nice :D When was the last time a UK Eurovision entrant had a hit album at the time of the contest?! Possibly Gina G, though I'm not sure when Fresh! was released...

I was on the Englebert.com website today and saw that he is doing a webcast of his live concert out of Washington, USA on the 29th April. Its called Englebert Humperdinck Front & Center and it says he will be warming up his chords with the song,as well the rest of his amazing show all live.

There is also a 24 hr record function that lets you watch it for the rest of the day if the time zone is different.(I'll watch it live!!as i'm a mad fan.)

I'll try and find and post the link so you can check it out but it looks amazing.

Cheers.

I found out today there is a list of all new entries in MW mag that are listed in the top 75, listed under Matrix there isn't any positions but Engelbert follows them, so he must be top 50ish, I can't see it staying there though.

I'll be happy if he outpeaks Josh tbh. Top 100 would be fine. It would be fabulous if he scraped into top 40 though, just to hear Reggie fail to pronounce it

Don't forget he is performing the track on Graham Norton show tomorrow, I can't see it doing anything though to improve its position in the chart.

He sung very well on Graham Norton, still not loving the song though - it's too boring for me but I appreciate it for what it is and still hope he does well in Baku! :D

Couple of jokes from Graham included:

"This year we're going to Azerbaijan in the heart of Europe, in between Syria and Iran".

"I've had to have injections, we can't be in Europe?"

And the Russian grannies got a lot of air time too :kink:

It was a very good performance! Something like that on the night and I think we could get top 10.

Shame Euphoria wasn't mentioned but I suppose there's no reason for it to be, as long as Jedward and the grannies were shoehorned in, seeing as Eurovision = novelty to UK audiences :(

Engelbert was strong, although he's a pro so it's not like we have to worry about him vocally. I still think it's a really strong song deserving of a top ten finish.
