March 21, 200620 yr Where is Corinne?? She has no future in the UK for sure!!!! What a random comment, I'd of thought the reverse was true. Corinne is doing really well on singles and albums.

March 21, 200620 yr Shocked at Embrace, but there is absolutely no way it will stay there by Sunday. I think it will slip to 3/4 by Sunday.
March 21, 200620 yr Good news for Embrace even though they probably won't hol don to the number 1 spot, and good news for The Kooks as well as there top 40 on downloads only.
March 21, 200620 yr I thought, the new chart rules would have made it very difficult (at least for the forseable future), to now debut at #1. Am I guessing right, that the Embrace download (assuming that there is one) had not been made available prior to the physical release? Or is it just that there weren't many download only sales for last week? Edited March 21, 200620 yr by Sound-Bite
March 21, 200620 yr It's so annoying to see #1's because of the x-factor promotion. Now we saw 3 #1's from the X-factor, one every month. The xmas #1 should be a xmas song are at least a children song like bob the builder or nizlopi rather than we see shayne ward...

I like seeing Xmas and Novelty songs in the chart and I believe the 52 week ruling squandered Band Aid 20 from re-appearing in the top 40 chart last Xmas.
March 21, 200620 yr Author Or is it just that there weren't many download only sales for last week? There weren't that many download only sales for the single last week. But its a great single from them

March 21, 200620 yr That's interesting. There does seem to be a variation of musical tastes between the Downloader and the High Street Shopper. The downloader has to be 18 or get some who is 18 to allow then to use there cards, so the physical buyer is made more of the under 18's In the case of embrace, it seems to have made it's promotion timing to match the physical release. It's climbing rapidly on the downloads charts and one could imagine it being high up the downloads charts by the weekend.
March 21, 200620 yr she fell maybe sh is Top 40 out of Top 30 Your source is? Without one, I very much doubt that true.
