Dominos and Velvet were amongst my favourite songs of 2009 (3rd and 18th to be precise), but the album was a bit so-so. This song is alright on first listen, but it could've easily been on A Brief History...

I don't remember the last album very well now. But I used to like 'Velvet', 'Dominos' and 'Tonight'.

The new track is okay at the moment.

It's a shame they veered away from what they did on their first AA single immediately into bland, basic pop territory. This new track sounds like Dominoes without the big shouty chorus (which is the only bit anyone really likes anyway). I guess I'd have liked them if I was 14 again, but I'm not and I take a lot more to be impressed now...well, more than something which sounds like a rubbish mix of Big Country, U2 and a drunken, shouting tramp.

Not bad but obviously not as strong as some of their previous stuff. I wouldn't mind a slicker, more polished sound but the new tracks are sounding filler-ish so far.

The music video for "Hit the Ground (Superman)" has been released:

Which bizarrely, samples Laurie Anderson's #2 hit 'O Superman', perhaps the most bizarre single ever to reach so high:

The last album was decidedly patchy (gorgeous artwork, though), Future This...well, people have slagged it off on here but..... if you like MGMT's debut then you can't really fail to like the new Big Pink album.... yes, it's commercial, yes, it's anthemic...but...so what? It's a seriously great album.
While the debut album had amazing singles, "Future This" is better overall.
