Posted September 13, 201113 yr Album out in the new year and the single out November 7th apparently: wPmkk_W11oM Very fond of their debut so excited for this. Edited November 14, 201113 yr by Phaedrus Ráðúlfr
September 13, 201113 yr Dominos and Velvet were amongst my favourite songs of 2009 (3rd and 18th to be precise), but the album was a bit so-so. This song is alright on first listen, but it could've easily been on A Brief History...
September 14, 201113 yr I don't remember the last album very well now. But I used to like 'Velvet', 'Dominos' and 'Tonight'. The new track is okay at the moment.
September 15, 201113 yr It's a shame they veered away from what they did on their first AA single immediately into bland, basic pop territory. This new track sounds like Dominoes without the big shouty chorus (which is the only bit anyone really likes anyway). I guess I'd have liked them if I was 14 again, but I'm not and I take a lot more to be impressed now...well, more than something which sounds like a rubbish mix of Big Country, U2 and a drunken, shouting tramp.
November 14, 201113 yr Author http://www.listenbeforeyoubuy.net/listen/l...round-superman/ 'Hit the Ground (Superman)'. Doesn't really go anywhere
November 14, 201113 yr Not bad but obviously not as strong as some of their previous stuff. I wouldn't mind a slicker, more polished sound but the new tracks are sounding filler-ish so far.
November 16, 201113 yr The music video for "Hit the Ground (Superman)" has been released: j9_xniHg8pc Which bizarrely, samples Laurie Anderson's #2 hit 'O Superman', perhaps the most bizarre single ever to reach so high: -VIqA3i2zQw Edited November 16, 201113 yr by Brett-Butler
February 15, 201213 yr The last album was decidedly patchy (gorgeous artwork, though), Future This...well, people have slagged it off on here but..... if you like MGMT's debut then you can't really fail to like the new Big Pink album.... yes, it's commercial, yes, it's anthemic...but...so what? It's a seriously great album.
