September 15, 201113 yr Rihanna made top 10! and Adele #2 with SLY and still #17 with RITD  Set Fire To The Rain #72, needs to be a single!
September 15, 201113 yr Set Fire To The Rain #72, needs to be a single! It really does. It's flawless.
September 15, 201113 yr That's actually a very pleasant Top 20. I'm definitely on board with the David Guetta/Usher and Adele climbs too.
September 15, 201113 yr And SOOOOOOO happy for Dev! That is one amazing song and she deserves some f***ing credit for her solo work. TOP TEN PLEASE!
September 15, 201113 yr It really does. It's flawless. I've been listening to it since the first day it was out on 21, at least twice a day i'd say :heehee: Its music perfection for me too. LOVE.
September 15, 201113 yr Predictable but annoying return to the top for Maroon 5, Adele is literally 0.5% off getting back to #1 on iTunes though and since this isn't directly because of the VMAs I'm hoping it'll keep increasing until it gets a decent lead again and then as airplay also continues to increase it will hopefully knock M5 off #1 on the Hot 100 again in 2-3 weeks and stay there for a while. According to the Billboard report this week 'Someone Like You' is apparently the only Hot 100 #1 containing nothing but a piano and vocals - that's really a testament to just how massive Adele is (and yet another record for her). Digital Songs (aka the real chart) has Maroon 5 at #1 with 220k and Adele #2 with 213k, very close there but obviously Maroon 5 have the airplay advantage by a long way. New peak for Set Fire To The Rain as well - is there any reason for its success the past couple of weeks? :D Edited September 15, 201113 yr by Bré
September 15, 201113 yr Is the chart run of She Will now 3-40-28? Or have I missed out a week somewhere?
September 15, 201113 yr Is the chart run of She Will now 3-40-28? Or have I missed out a week somewhere? I think it was around #19 in its second week. EDIT: #17, close enough. So its run is 3-17-40-28. (Why did it rebound so much this week I wonder? And why did How To Love rebound as well?) Edited September 15, 201113 yr by Bré
September 15, 201113 yr I think it was around #19 in its second week. EDIT: #17, close enough. So its run is 3-17-40-28. (Why did it rebound so much this week I wonder? And why did How To Love rebound as well?) Maybe the songs just dropped a lot last week, because a lot of people would've been doing the "complete the album" thing, due to how many songs he released before the album. Because I think that subtracts sales, doesn't it?
September 16, 201113 yr I have to say, to see JoJo debut at #87 is a nice little surprise! Considering that airplay must be minimal at this point, that must be solely on digital sales - very nicely done! Also seeing Kelly debut so high makes me content ^_^
September 16, 201113 yr I find Kelly's debut a bit disappointing, it's worse than Avril's What the Hell for example. #3 will be Pumped Up Kicks' peak. You and I is doing very well for a fourth single from 1.8 million selling album. It's still top ten on iTunes.
September 17, 201113 yr Author Maybe the songs just dropped a lot last week, because a lot of people would've been doing the "complete the album" thing, due to how many songs he released before the album. Because I think that subtracts sales, doesn't it? Correct. Happened to Britney during Femme Fatale's release week. Excerpt from Paul Grein: Five songs from Femme Fatale are listed on Hot Digital Songs, but "Hold It Against Me" isn't among them. How can that be? (The smash, which reached #1 on both the Hot 100 and Hot Digital Songs, was #66 on the digital chart last week.) It's the impact of returns due to customers' "Complete My Album" option. Enough fans took advantage of that clever gimmick that the song showed negative sales this week. http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart_wat...a-female-first/

Thanks! :D I noticed that all of Lady Gaga's songs dropped a lot in the UK the week she released the album (particularly Hair), so that could be why aswell. Like Lil Wayne, she also released 4 of the tracks before the album. Taylor Swift aswell, I think one of her songs famously went 1-OUT on the digital chart! :o If the following week was the album release, it might shed some light on that.
September 17, 201113 yr Taylor Swift aswell, I think one of her songs famously went 1-OUT on the digital chart! :o If the following week was the album release, it might shed some light on that. That would be Mean, and yes it was. I remember that week, poor Taylor. Sexy and I Know It has now outpeaked all of the singles from LMFAO's first album. Expect a decent sized jump next week, too, as it's nearing the top 10 on iTunes.
