Instrumentally it reminds me of 'Girls' by the Sugababes with a big FAT FARTING SYNTH line over the top of it. A lyrical abomination too.

Is this what her label are pushing the album on the back of. If so OH DEAR. It's laughable how bad this song is, do her A&R men have no ears?!

I can't believe how dreadful she looks on the single artwork... makes the album cover look good imo. :o
This is really disappointing on first listen. She looks like Barbra Windsor on the single cover, and her voice sounds really horse in the chorus. I quite like the synths in the background though, however its just all so dated.
It's something different and I quite like it :D It'll be a grower I think :)
Definitely agree with the All Saints comparison... It's good on first listen (at least different to All About Tonight which was TOO generic - even for me!) and should be a grower. Glad it's something different anyway, I can see this growing a lot - very urban and I reckon it should reach a wider audience. Probably won't make number 1 but I imagine it'll hang around longer than her other singles that bombed after reaching the top.
How could that be offensive in the slightest? I doubt it was her who agreed on the album name.

Not offensive in the literal sense!

What Do You Take Me For is great. I can see it growing on me a lot.

Inexplicably 'What Do You Take Me For' has got lodged in my head and now I sort of actually like it? First Pixie song I've ever liked and really cannot stand her.

I'm just a sucker for anything 90s RnB orientated.

You know I QUITE LIKE THAT. It doesn't sound like anything else doing the rounds and anything which aims to bring back the 90s should surely be applauded. It is a bit short in the hook stakes though.

If this is being released the same week as the album then that signals an X Factor performance to me. I really can't wait to see what an X Factor performance of this will be like. It's going to sound absolutely horrendous unless she mimes though. THE BRITISH BRITNEY!!!1111 etc.

What a classy cover :o

Of the song, I like the chorus at the moment. Kept thinking it reminded me of another song so when I came here the All Saints bit helped!

It's Pixie's very own Bootie Call, set to polarise opinion but perhaps get to #1 anyway? Her career trajectory suddenly veers off the Billie Piper route and latches onto another 1998 pop act. I hope her War of Nerves is the third single from the album.

Although I guess I'm a 'fan' of hers, although moreso two or three years ago than now, I still find her whole success in general rather surprising but I guess she's carved out her very own 'British solo female does teen pop' niche. She's retreading the pop landscape of the late 90s and has scored three UK #1's and an 800k+ selling debut album, without even being a product of The X Factor! Clearly the likes of Gaga and Beyonce are putting too much thought and innovation into their music to bag that elusive UK #1 single these days

This has grown so much, I can't stop listening :o Already prefer it to AAT, which I got bored of fairly quickly :(

She really is a bizarre anomaly of the British popular music landscape. She's eventually going to see a dip in success (as with any act) but Lord knows when that'll be. Does she have like proper hardcore loonite fans? I can't see what anyone could see so in-depth with either her or her music for that to be the case? It's all so odd.

I forsee her GH TANKING in a few years time.

This is f***ing awesome. The production is so slick, sexy and cool. Pusha T f***ing owns it.

Really good. Very odd. But very good.

This is pretty surprising, isn't it? Pusha T sounds great and the production is brilliant.

She is the worst thing about it.

Oh my GOD. I sure did not expect to like PIXIE LOTT's next single but it's fucking brilliant. Lott sounds like a 50 year old heavy smoker though.

I think it's abysmal, by far the worst thing Pixie has done. Pusha T's part is just the crap icing on a cake made of crap.
I was expecting something awful reading all the comments on here but I think its pretty good, although I think the rapper is not needed at all.
