I'm still a little behind on this show (I'm up to episode 4 - THAT was heartbreaking! :() but I am in complete love with it! It's fantastic. I am flying through them though and will hopefully have the first season wrapped up tonight. The second season looks, so, so good! Really hope it isn't more of the same and they try something new with it, but from the trailer and stuff, I'm incredibly excited for it's return!

i wonder how they'll ruin the carefully devloped characters and story arcs from the brilliant comic book series this season.

True but I will anyway, never know it may get better, the first and last episode of season 1 were very good (although the last i was a bit wtf, wasn't in the comics at all but I could forgive it as it did make a good season finale, messing with the characters though and making shit new ones I can't forgive)

Really all I can say is enjoy the show but check out the comics because they are so much better.

Edited by Chris.

Very excited for the return. Can't see Shane lasting the season.

Only downside is Frank Darabot has been sacked as showrunner for some odd reason!

I think I might have forgotten to watch the last episode of the first season.

I might watch it eventually, but honestly I don't really like this show. Probably because I read the comics and they're far better.

Is October 16th when it aires here in the UK? And is it still on channel 5?

Nah AMC. They're airing 7 episodes until November, then holding back the final 6 until February.

I think in the UK it airs on FX first?

It got record ratings last night. Unsurprising, but still excellent news.

That highway scene was magnificent. It seriously felt like a movie sequence. There was so much suspense and tension in it. I was slightly disappointed with the episode overall as after the highway scene it didn't really seem to go anyway, and was just building up (and a little bit of screen time for all of the survivors) for the (shock) ending.

Ahhhh! Excellent news about the ratings! :o 7.3 million?! Incredible.

I'm watching this on Friday though. But I'm very much looking forward to it. Heard some really good stuff about it!

i found that... really f***ing boring tbh. the highway scene was really well done and the tension was brilliant, then the rest of the episode, basically nothing happened. i'm still kind of annoyed that

Carl never killed Shane last season as i'd say thats one of the most important plot points in the comic book series and is especially important for Carl's character development, Shane just running away instead is a shit plot point compared.

. The cliffhanger was very good, and I know where this takes us, which makes me excited as i guess it makes us a step closer to

them going to the prison

.

The second episode is so much better.

The ending is once again thrilling. Was nice to see so much character development aswell.

I wish it progressed faster tbh, so far both episodes have been about the 2 kids slowing down the team.

Will watch episode 2 tonight, but I finally got chance to catch up last night and I absolutely loved the first episode. The ending had my mouth wide open with shock, I didn't expect it, at all. I was expecting some

Zombie to come and attack the Deer and then chase them three around for a bit.

Or something. Seriously can't wait to watch ep 2!

episode 2 alot better, didnt even notice the time go, felt like i'd been watching for 10 minutes but 40 had passed, always a good sign. Didn't see any sign of a barn at Hershal's, I hope there is. interested to know what comes of sophia. good ending again, although I get the feeling they'll get out of it in some miraculous unbelievable fashion, will be interesting to see what comes of Shane also after he didn't die at the end of the first season.
I'd imagine Shane will stick around for a while. I can't see the point of not killing him off with the comic storyline and then just getting rid of him straight away. The last episode really developed Shane as a character and I think they'll continue to do that for a while.
I saw the ending coming a mile off, but it still didn't make it any less shocking seeing it! :o
I like that Shane's slowly turning into a psycho. I think what happened in the comic book will eventually happen later this season, they just want to develop it a bit more.
