Pretty good tracklist imo, except the absense of Drive is pretty weird.

Listening to 'Hi-Fi' atm.. Very strong work, like their best sides put together, the poppy and the indie rock styles.

What do they hate about "Drive", it wasn't on "In Time" either. No other great losses there, losing "Daysleeper" is a bit of a shame.
So Shiny Happy People included but the following 15 UK top 40 hits are not...

27 Near Wild Heaven

28 Radio Song

11 Drive

23 Crush With Eyeliner

19 Bittersweet Me

06 Dayseleeper

26 Lotus

(with chart positions)

how on earth can they miss these? Especially Daysleeper, Lotus, Near Wild Heaven and Drive.... that's a very very strange selection..... and one that, to be honest, has put me off... why have an incomplete 'Complete' album? :(

11 Drive

04 E-Bow The Letter

19 Bittersweet Me

06 Dayseleeper

I love those 4, in fact Drive and E-Bow are my two favourite REM singles! :(

Delighted to see Country Feedback there but Near Wild Heaven and E-bow the letter are essential REM tracks in my opinion. Also would have liked Find the River there but it was a very minor hit.
Very odd tracklisting. I'm sure they professed to hate Shiny Happy People (hence it's exclusion from In Time), yet that's included over Daysleeper and Drive? Very odd.

I feel a bit sorry for them. Mosts critics seem to be happy or at least, dont care that much. But there are some great songs also on the last 2 albums. Its sad that Collapse into now was sutch a sales flop. Not the best ending. And this new greatest hits isent selling eather
