Kath Kath you should really calm down with your constant Gary battering, he's just another guy earning the pound note and doing what he is best at, writing music and giving advice to up and coming singers I wonder whether this will happen to JLS and One Direction in 10/20 years time :lol: Personally i think Jls have one more album in them before ego will start to come into play and that small scrawny one ashton or whatever he is will go solo along with that tall one. When that happens (and it will eventually) both will flop as solo artists and end up being like Blue 1D..well even though their first single sold loads on the first week its sales are falling fast and it only stayed top a week. Although history tells us that their first album will sell 250k or around and may sell a million over a year, their second wont sell as many. Again they are young and even now there are alot of egos in that band, and im not sure they will last long term. Plus the fact that every year or every other year a new boyband are created or put through on x factor...it's like a revolving door, and only certain artists like Take That and Westlife are guaranteed to survive.

October 7, 201113 yr Mark needs to lose the facial hair but other than that it looks like they're actually putting effort into getting a successful single this time around. Much better and less generic by-numbers song than Home, better artwork etc...and a Greatest Hits album will do far better for them at xmas than a new studio album would have done. I don't see the single going much higher than #7 or so but the album will be one of the biggest xmas sellers for sure.
October 7, 201113 yr By his own admission though - the guy only rates one in every 25 songs he writes - not a very good ratio. songwriters can write 25 songs in a couple of days, if you have the gift its just like writing a letter, it comes naturally...im sure that ratio is similar to most songwriters. to be honest it shouldnt matter how many songs it takes him to get a good one, the main point is that he does write great songs and all the stats are there to prove it. I like the cover actually, agreed its a big step forward from the lethargic gravity artwork

Just to clarify when I said you all love them I was joking cause 99.9% of people on music forums hate them. :rolleyes: I don't know whether or not to believe the two year break thing, I imagine it's more that there won't be an album until 2013 and if that's the case it doesn't bother me, but if they mean they literally will have a two year break (so from the end of their 2012 tour which i imagine to be October, to September in 2014 before they start meetings on what their new album will be about) then I don't think they'll be successful if they come back. Since they're mini break in 08 they've only released two singles. I don't know if people in the public really know they are still here. It doesn't satisfy a fanbase to have one single from an album, few promo slots, they do tour each year which I think is why they are probably still here. If they were to release 4+ singles from an album and continue to tour I think they'll be fine. They have been very consistent throughout their whole career and their fanbase is very loyal that if they were to release more singles it wouldn't be much different to how it is now.
