January 8, 201312 yr Losing My Religion wasn't a Top 10? :o It's one of their most well-known songs isn't it? I know radio loves it.
January 8, 201312 yr So "One Day Like This" managed to do this without needing the X Factor, even more pleasing in retrospect. My memory is terrible, did anything get as big a boost in the series just gone as "Ordinary People" did on the back of The Voice?

My memory is terrible, did anything get as big a boost in the series just gone as "Ordinary People" did on the back of The Voice? I Won't Give Up re-peaked at #11 (took me a while to remember that!). Then there was Shontelle's Impossible re-entering at #22. Strictly got A Thousand Years back in the chart, re-peaking at #13 too.
January 8, 201312 yr New ones: Frank Ocean - Thinkin Bout You - absolutely stunning single. Frank Ocean deserves far more single success. If someone performed this on XF, I think it could chart at least top 75. Frank Ocean - Pyramids - should've gone top 10 regardless. 'Bad Religion' also. January 8, 201312 yr Why are people continually surprised that loads of well known songs never made the Top 10? Why not? You're natural instinct would be to think that such a well-known song would have been a success.
January 9, 201312 yr That's not the case - maybe it's something that doesn't become apparent until later years.
