I don't know what you're interested in but i'll give you some examples, Liam on this site I believe likes her music too. She's more of a provocative type but yet does AMAZING ballads :wub: She's called Koda Kumi and does Cute songs, Provocative Songs, Emotional Ballads, etc... I'll show you some example.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:D Enjoy

Also tell me how you feel about the songs!

What initially made me all curious was those gifs which you have in your signature. She looks amazing in them and that music video I presume they’re from looks just as amazing. I’ve heard of Koda Kumi before, but not listened to much of her material.

Koda Kumi – Lollipop

Sexy indeed. I’ve always liked the use of English in asian pop and this is a perfect example of that. On first listen it seems a bit dated, but not that much and somehow it does work - although personally I’ve always enjoyed a bit more tempo when it comes to those erotic themed songs.

Koda Kumi – Taboo

Oh yeah, this production is more to my taste. Haha! :D I actually like the production the most about this song. Still quite seductive in the music video and it does make me wonder if she’s made any discussion in her native country? – especially after seeing the same gender flirtations. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen that in a j-pop music video. I think it’s a good thing, but it made me curious as I believe Japanese people aren’t as out there when it comes to that subject?

Koda Kumi – Pop diva

She is so cool, and edgy. I like that in an artist. This track is energetic, technologic and almost futuristic. The music fits perfectly with the music as well. Not that much of a fan when it comes to the chorus tbh, but I like the verses. Mainly because of the production :D

Koda Kumi – Suki de, suki de, suki de

Beautiful voice. Beautiful song. Nuff said! :wub:

Koda Kumi – Lick me

Absolutely cute, and charming. And catchy. And fun. I might chart this, as well as suki de, suki de, suki de. I enjoyed that music video as well. Colorful, playful. Haha, so great :cheer:

Thank you for your recommendations, Oricon! ^_^

Hi Freeze (Er yes, your subtitle drew me in, as I've been loving both albums ;)),

3. Owl City – Honey and the bee - NEW - I dismissed this initially, but it's actually rather strong. Adam and Breanne fit SO well together

5. Le Kid – Kiss me - NEW

7. Marina and The Diamonds - Radioactive - -> #7 -> #6 - (2 weeks)

8. Le Kid – Bigger than Jesus - NEW

9. Le Kid – We are the drums - NEW - Probably my favourite from the Le Kid album.

10. Le Kid - Seventeen - NEW

11. Owl City – Kamikaze - NEW - This needs to become a fan favourite, it's so different from everything else he's done.

14. Jessica Mauboy – Inescapable - -> #5 -> #14 - (2 weeks)

15. Owl City – The real world - NEW -

16. Owl City – The yacht club - NEW - I think this is my favourite on the album. It's really uplifting, especially the last part.

18. Owl City – Dreams don’t turn to dust - NEW

Glad you're enjoying both the albums. Owl City in particular is one of my albums of the year, all the tracks bar one (Hospital Flowers) are all kinds of awesome and Le Kid is great as well. :D

Hello Eyes! (Well I'm glad you decided to check my chart out it either way to share your thoughts!)

@3 - I agree. It's very strong and it might be my personal favorite of the whole album. I'm not sure if I like it more than Alligator sky, but it's definitely more charming! :wub: I love how it soars to the sky towards the end when he sings "I sweeeeeeeear, it's a lot of vegetables out there!" JUST AMAZING! Oh and don't worry when you see it down at number 18 this week, I just have a lot of music to listen to so I have to swith my priorities each week. I've listened to it more this week (AKA next week) so it's going to be a contender for the top 5 again :wub:

@9 - Really? You like this even more than We should go home together, Mr. Brightside, Escape, Mercy mercy, America and Oh my God? Oh my God! :o

@11 - It does seems like the stand out of the album. I really like it's roughness and power, if you know what I mean? He shouts a lot and the production is more hardcore (:lol:) than the rest of the songs, but it's still Owl City though. Still great!

@16 - Probably the most poppy song on the album. Very uplifting, and that chorus is almost dancy I'd say :D

Thank you for commenting and stuff! ^_^

Hey Freeze :D

2. Alex Winston – Velvet Elvis - NEW

3. Lise Karlsnes – Red hot - NEW :wub:

4. Young London – Let me go - NEW This was my backup choice for both this month and last month's BJSC! :o I wonder if somebody will finally send it next month?

6. HandS – No romance - NEW

12. Le Kid – We are the drums - -> #9 -> #12 - (2 weeks)

14. Jessica Mauboy – Inescapable - -> #5 -> #14 -> #14 - (3 weeks)

15. Aqua – Like a robot - NEW

18. Owl City – Honey and the bee - -> #3 -> #18 - (2 weeks)

19. Will Young - Who am I? - -> #1 -> #19 - (2 weeks)

20. Le Kid - Kiss me - -> #5 -> #20 - (2 weeks) Nice to see someone else love this song, such a good album too

Omg many k-pop songs this week and Roly Poly #1!! :wub:

I will reply to the list of songs I like later once I get on my laptop and hear the songs, currently on my iPad so not too convenient ATM :P

As for Koda Kumi, she's pretty much out there when it comes to same gender flirtation, she is famous for using erotic music but she gets away with it as she is one of j-pops most successful female solo act. And Japan is pretty open about it compared to some Asian countries like Korea and China in terms of sexuality discrimination. She has also made a ton of headlines, she's getting a bit old now (in her 30s) but before she was way more erotic in her videos with some songs like Juicy, yes it is exactly what you think the theme of it is :P.

She's also very female empowerment supportive like Lady Gaga is as she encourages females a lot :)

Well, you're welcome! ^_^

Kamikaze.. I can see what you're saying. I was really surprised when I first heard it, but it fits so well with him.

2. Alex Winston – Velvet Elvis - NEW - Actually quite surprised this didn't qualify. I thought you were through easily. Shame, really. :(

3. Lise Karlsnes – Red hot - NEW

4. Young London – Let me go - NEW

6. HandS – No romance - NEW

12. Le Kid – We are the drums - -> #9 -> #12 - (2 weeks) - Well... it's the one that stands out the most. The cover of Mr Brightside and Escape are great, but it's definitely the one that I notice the most. I had never actually listened to them before the album release. And America and Mercy Mercy aren't their best, not sure about Oh My God, though.

14. Jessica Mauboy – Inescapable - -> #5 -> #14 -> #14 - (3 weeks)

18. Owl City – Honey and the bee - -> #3 -> #18 - (2 weeks) - Yes, it's one of those that gets better with every listen, isn't it. Good to know it's not dropping hugely for good. I listen to loads of different music each week as well, to be honest

Hi Freeze, after listening to all your songs :)

2. Alex Winston – Velvet Elvis - NEW I'm surprised I like this, it's very.... non mainstream but it's not bad

5. 2NE1 – Ugly - NEW FLAWLESS #2!

12. Le Kid – We are the drums - -> #9 -> #12 - (2 weeks)

13. MBLAQ – Mona Lisa - NEW FlAWLESS #3!

14. Jessica Mauboy – Inescapable - -> #5 -> #14 -> #14 - (3 weeks)

16. IU – Marshmallow - NEW FlAWLESS #4!

20. Le Kid - Kiss me - -> #5 -> #20 - (2 weeks)

Le Kids tracks are good, I love the We Should Go Home Together song and video, I might download their album and see the rest of the tracks :D
