Keep It Together was the sixth and final single from Madonna's Like A Prayer album, released in january 1990 it's was Madonna's first release of the 1990's. Keep It Together is a song about how family life has been for her. This song was the last time she worked with Stephen Bray. Another last was that in the US, it was Madonna's last 7" vinyl single issued with a picture sleeve. Keep It Together went to #1 for 5 weeks in Australia (with Vogue as a double A side). It also topped the Hot Dance Club Play Charts too. No official video was made but mtv used the performance from the Blond Ambition tour. Madonna sang a few lines of "Family Affair" before performing Keep It Together as the last song on the Blond Ambition Tour which referenced A Clockwork Orange.

I really love Keep It Together is a stand out track from Like A Prayer (better than Like A Prayer and Express Yourself for me). The live performance is awesome.
Love the BA performance of this and treasure the 7 inch vinyl! I wonder what happened to Stephen Bray her and Madonna were an awesome team! Cant imagine Madonna revisiting this song in the future but i would love her two. Songs that are perofrmed on only 1 tour are quite rare (especially hits) but this really does make the performance special!

Like you I can't see KIT being performed again on a tour but I can live in hope. It really is a classic.

As for Stephen Bray I guess him and Madonna don't talk anymore because a few years ago in a interview her called her talentless.

^ really in a lot of documentaries he has always been so complimentary especially about her songwriting skills. Can particularly rememeber when writing Into The Groove' he said they need a bridge and within 2 minutes she had written it. He also praised her for how hands on she was in the studio . Maybe he is upset because she decided no longer to work with him.
