Don't quite know what it is about Thanksgiving but it always seems to bring out the best in these shows.

 

Yeah, Cougar Town season 1 and 2 Thanksgiving episodes are both amazing. This being good made me miss Cougar Town.

Another not quite amazing episode this week.

Dallas finally kissing George was nice, even if it was passed off as being 'under the mistletoe'.

Oddly I would really like to see them together, they've got such good chemistry.

Oh my GOD, this weeks episode was the best yet. The scene with George and Shiela in the supermarket was just SO GOOD. Poor George though, the back/forth thing with Dallas is working out quite nicely (for US, not for either of them).

There are too many great shows to keep up with and this was sadly one of the casualties.

SHAME, it's by far the best new comedy of the year and FAR better than any of the other olders ones I've seen too.

LIES LIES AND MORE LIES. I'll happily stick to 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Community (sob) and Modern Family!

Oh well I've only seen 30 Rock and Modern Family out of those, the former is alright, the latter DIRE.

I wouldn't say dire, but the quality has been dwindling since the first season. Same with 30 Rock, but the first few seasons were genius.

DIRE? Modern Family is loads better than this and probably only topped by Parks & Rec (out of the comedies that I've seen).

 

I still enjoy this though, think the latest episode was my second favourite of the season. The supermarket scene was the highlight but the parts in the closest/principal's office/boutique were good too.

I have watched about half of the first series of Modern Family and bar a couple of MINI SMILES I got little to no enjoyment from it. I guess dire was probably a little strong as comedy is obviously subjective, but it's most definitely not for me.

Ok, so being laid up with the Flu has given me some spare time and I'm finally watching this.

 

 

 

Downloaded the pilot, and fell in love. What a brilliant show.

this is a bit of an underdog show that deserves more promo so that it gets the chance to grow, really enjoying this first series, getting better as it goes :-)

Ryan and Tessa make such a cute couple, I do hope they make that happen SOON. Him asking her for her address whilst standing outside her house had me in fits of laughter though, he's such a FOOL (a HOT one though).

Agreed. I really warmed up to Ryan after this episode. He was just too adorable.

'Modern Family' is the poorest of the Wednesday ABC block I watch now 'Surubgatory' and 'The Middle' have done really well this season, MF is also trumped by the incredible duo of 'Parks & Rec' and 'Community', so excited to have them back on the air together soon :D! I'd probably say 'Suburgatory' is in my top 5 shows of the season!

I think it was one of my favourite episodes and mostly down to Ryan. He really needs to be in every episode.

I wanted to carry it myself, but I'm just too busy with my new book 'Making time for what matters' :lol:
