Nice to see Notorious getting some extra sales! And The Flood aswell. And the second remix of Read All About It :P

Wish it was Jessie's Price Tag or Who You Are that was down to 59p, but it's still great to see Who's Laughing Now back in the Top 100.

I wonder is Bulletproof being 59p is an attempt by La Roux's label to remind the public they exist. Perhaps a new project is around the corner.

'Marry the Night' taking it's time - I expect we'll see it jump into the T40 after Sunday, but it'll be like Katy Perry's 'The One That Got Away' and fall out of the T40 the week later, lingering around until the video is released (hopefully before Christmas).
Marry the Night is not doing too badly now. If they wait until it's in the top 20 to release the music video, it could be a big hit.

Rumour Has It finally top 300 :D At this stage I'll be fairly happy if it even goes top 40 to be honest. It was obviously not going to do anywhere near as well as SFTTR but I hope it can muster up at least MYFML-style success (original chart run ofc). Would be nice if it could continue her top 20 streak but really, the album has already sold 3.25m and still growing by 20k+ per week, it'd be extremely lucky to do that even if it gets the same blanket airplay exposure as the previous 3 singles.

FINALLY some movement for Rumour Has It.

The video isn't released for another 2/3 weeks apparently. :drama: I presume it'll drop out of the T50 before slowing re-climbing when released.

2-3 weeks isn't bad imo.

I'm not sure. Firework was in a similar situation (it was just outside the top 100 before the X Factor performance), and it managed to stay stable. I guess it depends if Marry the Night gets the top 10 effect after the X Factor performance or not.

But the song needs to already be a "hit" for the music video to have a good effect. A perfect example was Just Can't Get Enough by the Black Eyed Peas, it had climbed all the way to #11 on iTunes on airplay alone, and then the music video got released and it went all the way to #2. Or Give Me Everything by Pitbull. That was already climbing up the top 10 when it got its music video, and we all know how that turned out.

Katy Perry's record label seem to be very good with the timing of music videos. E.T.'s video was released when the song was already at #1 on US iTunes. The One That Got Away is currently climbing up the top 20 just from airplay, so the music video will boost it massively.

Songs such as You and I, and Criminal, which have their music videos released when they're not even in the top 1000 yet, well, they don't do well.

206 Heavy D & The Boyz/ Now That We Found Love

Reason for this back in the chart- Is because Heavy D passed away aged 44 today.

He appeared on Michael Jackson's 1991 song 'Jam'

He had a No2 hit in 1991 with 'Now That We Found Love'

I heard about that. I never really listened to him tbh, but it's still a shame. :(

It's amazing he's so remembered though! :o

Cant see Rumour Has it going top 40, most people who are interested in Adele have bought album now and over Christmas more people will buy the album, not the single. Even if the single bombs, as most of us on here seem to think it will im sure Adele wont lose any sleep over it

If 'Marry The Night' goes top 10 after Sunday, then fantastic, as you said it should stay stable enough until the video is released. The video looks, from the photographs, and sounds like it'll be brilliant, and Radio 1 seem to be loving it (up to the B-List today) so there's no reason as to why it shouldn't be a decent sized hit. :D As long as it goes top 10 officially at some point I'll be happy.

Shame to see that Pixie is doing significantly worse with a significantly better song than the last one.

The Katy Perry comparison highlights what "Marry the Night" needs to do to be a big hit perfectly - "Firework" jumped into the iTunes top 10 post-performance and "The One That Got Away"... didn't. MTN could do it I think, it's obviously not going to have the same impact as "Firework" but it's on an album that's been out for nine months less than "Teenage Dream" had been when TOTGA was performed - although the two albums have sold similar amounts, so who knows.

Lab is increasing, not too far away from JLS who are falling

Marry The Night video rumoured to premiere on November 24th. I think they've timed it perfectly (for once!) as it should have built in airplay by then too.

i just hope Capital start playing it!!
