I've been using the Saturdays forum much longer than you, and it's incredibly annoying when people are updating that they've climbed one place, it's frustrating for other posters and very pointless.

I joined in 2007. you joined in 2010

And you complaining is any less?!

Anyway, I wonder why they're so high on iTunes Australia................Thats a good sign. Is their show being shown on some channel over in Oz?

Watching The Saturdays on iTunes, not posting every hour if they climb or drop one spot. ESPECIALLY ON PRE-ORDERS.

Ireland #53

It's really NOT that significant if they move up from #55 to #54 because that'll mean it's been pre-ordered about one extra time than it had in the last update. The album chart is really that insignificant.

Irish iTunes @ 9am

What About Us = #47

Thought I'd have a look through older threads and see how a few of their singles were getting on in Ireland on iTunes at a similar time:

30 Days

(around 9am) = #47

My Heart Takes Over

(around 9am) = #145

All Fired Up

Can't see anything for around 9am in the AFU thread.. the standard single mix was AWOL at this time on iTunes apparently, only the remix EP with the extended version was available on the morning of release it seems?

Notorious

(around 9am) = #42

10.30am - it's #17 in Ireland now.

Had a look at 30 Days release day run again. 30 Days reached #18 at 7pm on release day, so good going so far, right?

Thought it would at least be top 200 on Australian ITunes following the decent start by the EP! The EP has tumbled aswell!

Yeah but the gap between the top 5 would surely be too hard to overcome. I'm going with a 8-10 peak for What About Us.

Safe to say The Saturdays won't be number 1 in the UK. Will.I.Am just premiered his MASSIVE new single on Capital.

No Doubt he'll release it on air on sale this week (probably Sunday) so that's it blown for them! Worst luck ever!

So its already doing better than 30 Days and obviously MHTO in Ireland.. fetch

Oz im not too worrid about till they get there

UK - hmm if will doenst release then yeah #1 if he does - #2 :(

Good to see it doing better than 30 Days, #13 in Ireland so close to top 10! If it goes top 5 in Ireland that would be amazing! Would be a first for the girls, so if we lose hope in the UK #1, then let's hope for an Irish Top 5!

I think there may be a slight over exaduration on will.i.am. I doubt he will release on Sunday stop worrying people!

Ouch, at how much it's bombing on USA iTunes. I really don't see What About Us even managing to gain airplay. Nobody is even sure if it's been added to radio's and any hype for the song seems to have gone in the USA.

Urgh at it being so low on Australian iTunes. The Ep is bombing down aswell, don't think it will even go higher than 200 though.

Irish iTunes.

11. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us

157. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul [buzz Junkies Remix] - What About Us

06. The Saturdays - What About Us (EP)

The US release has been a complete disaster. Honestly to think that the people handling The Sats are supposed to be professional trained managers and record executives and they can't do ANYTHING right. Every single other UK artist that went over there has had success (One Direction, Adele, Ellie Goulding, The Wanted, Cher Lloyd, Calvin Harris, Emeli Sande, Conor Maynard, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs) and The Sats are the only ones that are flopping. Why on Earth would you film a reality TV show in America with the main focus being "cracking America" and releasing it to the TV BEFORE they've even started promoting the song?! The TV show clearly started off well because people wanted to see how an unknown girl group would tackle releasing music in America, they DON'T want to see and hear about Vanessa's relationship struggles or Frankie's depression. They want to see behind the scenes, the recording sessions, the VMA's, the gigs etc. Why did they fly back to the UK the minute the song started doing well on iTunes? Getting to #102 on US iTunes is a big deal and they done it with EASE, and yet instead of having the song sent to radio and doing extensive radio shows and TV shows, they fly back to the UK and do NOTHING for a month and a half before flying back to the US for a TV performance and then flying back to the UK! I know it's been said before and we've discussed this to death, but what were they thinking? Now the song isn't even in the iTunes top 1500, there's zero airplay and the girls are instead going to Australia to promote next month instead. Oh, I say promote but obviously it'll be a few TV shows and then they'll be back home. They need to WORK! They need to be in the US for weeks and be on every single radio show they can! They can't expect to have a hit with six TV shows, a few radio shows and a few gigs. With Rochelle about to give birth and their upcoming UK album release/next single release, how are they going to ever promote in the US? They had the entire 2012 to go to America and promote the song to death and they wait until they're launching in the UK before they even send the song to US radio!

It's safe to say they will NOT have any success in the US. They aren't going to get airplay unless they do radio shows/TV shows and create a buzz, and they're clearly not going to be back in the US for a long time yet. The Wendy Williams appearance was absolutely bizzarre.

EDIT - they've fallen to #12 in Ireland and #462 in Australia. Not looking good.
